Republican Shane Reeves jumped to a significant early lead over Democrat Gayle Jordan in the 14th State Senate District special election Tuesday night.
With just under 9,000 votes counted, mostly from early voting, Reeves had 65 percent of the vote, 5,141, to Jordan’s 35 percent, or 2,761.
