Just ahead of President Trump’s official campaign kickoff Tuesday, the conservative group Ohio Value Voters (OVV) announced their full-throated endorsement of the unconventional incumbent.
I am taking on the FAILED political establishment and restoring government OF, BY, and FOR the PEOPLE!

“President Trump’s social conservative agenda has galvanized the support of faith-based and conservative Ohioans,” OVV President John Stover said in a statement; adding that the reasons for the early endorsement was based on a list accomplishments that support the conservatives’ agenda including:
- 2 Constitutional Supreme Court Justices: Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh
- 188 nominees to the federal court who support the rights of the unborn and the first amendment
- moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem
- defending the unborn
- reinstating and expanding the “Mexico City Policy” which prohibits US foreign aid to be used for abortion
- overturning the Obama regulation that prohibited States from defunding abortion service providers
- signing the bill to allow States to restrict funds to Planned Parenthood
- eliminating the US Department of Education’s transgender policy, which allowed students to play on sports teams and use the locker rooms and bathrooms of the sex they chose rather than the sex they were born
President Trump is set to announce the official start of his 2020 campaign at an evening rally in Orlando, Florida Tuesday – though records show he actually filed to run for a second term on January 20, 2017, the same day he was sworn into office as the 45th President of the United States.
Supporters of the President began lining up outside central Florida’s Amway Center 40 hours prior to the kickoff. President Trump tweeted that more than 100,000 tickets had been requested for the 20,000 seat venue in central Florida.
Big Rally tomorrow night in Orlando, Florida, looks to be setting records. We are building large movie screens outside to take care of everybody. Over 100,000 requests. Our Country is doing great, far beyond what the haters & losers thought possible – and it will only get better!

Meanwhile in Ohio, re-election efforts have been ramping up for months. The President visited Ohio twice in March of this year, and that was followed by a “Trump Victory Communication College” at Franklin University in Columbus last month – the first ever. Then President Trump’s former Press Secretary Sean Spicer worked his way through the state, attending several party events.
Jane Timken, the Chairwoman of the GOP in Ohio, has been an outspoken advocate for the President. She appeared at a campaign-style rally in July 2017 and voiced her strong support of the president, along with Ohio’s U.S. Senator Rob Portman.
Timken and Portman both reached out to The Ohio Star to confirm their endorsements of President Donald J. Trump for President.
“We are committed to re-electing President Trump,” Timken stated. She’s been touting the President’s successes for Ohio. Two days prior to his 2020 campaign kickoff event, Chair Timken was writing about Donald Trump’s new trade deal with Mexico and Canada and how it will benefit Ohio.
“The USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement) would mean good news for Ohioans,” she said in her guest column with the Tribune Chronicle. Timken noted that more than half of Ohio’s exports, nearly $28 billion, go to Mexico and Canada.
Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) endorsed the President back in January on the Byron York Show.
Diane and John Stover of OVV share the enthusiasm for the President, “Based upon President Trump’s accomplishments, Ohio Value Voters endorses his reelection in 2020.”
