‘The Coup Has Started’: Whistleblower Attorney Was Already Tweeting About Impeaching Trump in Jan. of 2017

One of the deep state attorneys representing the so-called “whistleblower” behind the Democrats’ ongoing impeachment inquisition, has been working toward the impeachment of President Trump since the early days of his administration, recently unearthed tweets reveal.

Mark Zaid, a prominent national security lawyer in Washington, tweeted in January of 2017 that the “coup has started” and that “impeachment will follow ultimately,” a Fox News analysis of his tweets revealed.

That tweet came shortly after President Trump fired then-acting Attorney General Sally Yates for refusing to make legal arguments defending Trump’s executive order on immigration and refugees.

He authored a number of other impeachment obsessed tweets as well.

“Johnson (1868), Nixon (1973), Clinton (1998) impeachment hearings. Next up @realDonaldTrump (2017),” Zaid tweeted in May of 2017. Then, in June of 2017, Zaid wrote: “45 years from now we might be recalling stories regarding the impeachment of @realDonaldTrump. I’ll be old, but will be worth the wait.”

Yes, Every Kid

Then, in July 2017, Zaid tweeted: “I predict @CNN will play a key role in @realDonaldTrump not finishing out his full term as president.”

Zaid is a frequent Trump critic on Twitter who has a history of playing hardball with those he perceives to be enemies of the deep state. In May of 2018, for instance, he threatened to sic his intelligence community friends on a random Twitter user who irritated him.

The user, who was a pro-Trump account formerly known as Imperator_Rex3 and then just “Rex,” was eventually suspended from Twitter, the Federalist reported.

“Hey ‘Rex’, why don’t you reveal your identity instead of attacking someone while hiding? I’d love to have my intelligence and law enforcement clients see what they can find about your life. We can compare notes on our research efforts. What do you say? Game?” wrote Zaid in a disturbing tweet.

Not coincidentally, as Fox notes, Zaid also enthusiastically peddled “the largely discredited Steele dossier used by the FBI to surveil” former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

“The whistleblower’s lawyer gave away the game,” the Trump campaign’s communications director, Tim Murtaugh told Fox News. “It was always the Democrats’ plan to stage a coup and impeach President Trump and all they ever needed was the right scheme. They whiffed on Mueller so now they’ve settled on the perfectly fine Ukraine phone call. This proves this was orchestrated from the beginning.”

Zaid co-founded Whistleblower Aid, a group that offers to pay officials who leak against Trump, the Washington Examiner reported in September. Andrew Bakaj, the anti-Trump complainant’s other lawyer, is also affiliated with Whistleblower Aid.

Their client has been identified online as Eric Ciaramella, 33, a career CIA analyst, and partisan Democrat.

Democrats and their allies in the corporate media have scoffed at President Trump for claiming that he is a victim of an ongoing deep state coup attempt, but investigative journalist Lee Smith, the author of The Plot Against the President, said it is “a real coup.”

“Just because the White House has not been surrounded by tanks, doesn’t mean it’s different. the entire purpose was to topple a sitting president,” he said in a recent interview with Epoch Times. “[In] this very American coup, they used memos, they used documents—some of them falsified like the Steele Dossier, like the intelligence assessment—but the entire purpose was to topple a sitting president.”
