Senator Kelly Loeffler Compares Her Record, Including Passage of New PPP Funding, to Raphael Warnock’s Record

U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler on Friday highlighted the stark contrasts between her record in the successful PPP program and other COVID-19 assistance in the Senate versus her opponent Rev. Raphael Warnock’s PPP record.

Loeffler pointed out the differences in a tweet.

My record:

-Nearly $1 trillion in additional relief

-$248 billion in new PPP funding

-$50 billion for testing & vaccines

-Taking $482,000 in PPP loans for his political group that’s under investigation for fraud

Loeffler voted in favor of the CARES Act last March.

The Warnock comment referred to the New Georgia Project. The organization was founded by Stacey Abrams and chaired in the past by Warnock.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Friday reported on people in Georgia with prominent ties who received funds from the Paycheck Protection Program — which included Warnock.

And the data revealed that the nonprofit New Georgia Project — founded by former gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams to register voters statewide and formerly chaired by U.S. senatorial candidate Raphael Warnock — received a $482,000 loan.

Loeffler has pointed out that Abrams and Warnock have attacked PPP as a program for the wealthy even though the New Georgia Project benefited from it, the AJC said. The nonprofit organization said Warnock left his position in January 2019, before the PPP existed, and neither he nor Abrams are on the payroll.

The New Georgia Project is under investigation by Georgia’s secretary of state office, The Georgia Star News reported on December 3. The investigation is delving into voter fraud connected to registering dead or out-of-state voters.

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s office confirmed their evidence on the New Georgia Project included the organization soliciting registration for a dead individual, an ineligible voter, and multiple residents of other states.

Another Loeffler tweet provides more differences between the values she stands for compared to Warnock.

This election is a choice between freedom and endless lockdowns.

It’s a choice between keeping more of what you earn and TRILLIONS in higher taxes.

It’s a choice between the rule of law and violent mobs.

It’s a choice between the American Dream and socialism.
