Nine Suspected Members of Salvadoran Gang Indicted in Nashville

Nine suspected members of the Mara Salvatrucha (or MS-13) Salvadoran criminal gang received a 60-count indictment from a federal grand jury in Nashville, TN, the U.S. Department of Justice announced on Wednesday.

The alleged gangsters face charges of seven murders and other racketeering-related offenses, including kidnappings, thefts, assaults and drug purveyance. The charges carry potential sentences of life imprisonment for all defendants. They are said to have acted as part of a Nashville-based MS-13 sub-unit, the Thompson Place Los Salvatrucha ring, since at least 2014.

“MS-13 is one of the most violent, ruthless and cold-blooded gangs to ever walk the face of the earth,” U.S. Attorney Mary Jane Stewart told reporters at the announcement.

Prosecutors have identified drug trafficking, robbery and extortion as primary sources of income for MS-13 members. The attorneys said that the gang’s leaders strictly enforce their orders that members not cooperate with law enforcement and that the leaders celebrate members’ executions of police informants.

Those reportedly believed to have been killed by members of the local MS-13 ring include 24-year-old Jesus Flores, 25-year-old Ammerli Josue Garcia-Munoz, 19-year-old Jorge Alvarado, 18-year-old Liliana Rodriguez, 18-year-old Yeri Gabino and 34-year-old Hector Pagada.

Among the accused, four are from Nashville: Carlos “El Serio” Ochoa-Martinez, 31, Jason “Bin Laden” Sandoval, 35, Jorge “Peluche” Flores, 29, and Kevin “Miklo” Tidwell, 28. One of them, Juan “Shaggy” Melendez is from Lebanon, TN. Three come from Honduras: Jose “Demente” Pineda-Caceres, 22, Franklin “Happy” Hernandez, 22, and Luis “Listo” Colindres, 24. One, Gerson “Frijole” Serrano-Ramirez, 34, is from El Salvador.

Okay. I am glad that they have been arrested. But I want to know how they got here in the first place. Did it happen because of Biden’s open border operation?
