AJ Bahou Announces Run for Glen Casada’s Tennessee State House District 63 Seat

AJ Bahou, a self-described conservative, on Wednesday announced he is running as a Republican for Tennessee State Representative in House District 63.

The 63rd District comprises eastern Williamson County.

State Representative Glen Casada, a Republican from Franklin, currently holds the District 63 seat. Casada is not running for reelection.

“In general, I am a fiscal conservative and looking forward to making sure Tennessee remains a low-tax state,” Bahou told The Tennessee Star on Wednesday.

“In that regard, I hope to repeal the Professional Privilege Tax.”

Bahou said this is his first run for elected office. He said he has called Middle Tennessee home for almost his entire life.

Bahou said in a statement that he chaired the Tennessee Young Republicans from 1997-1999 and was active in the organization for more than seven years. He said he has participated in a variety of other organizations, including the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce.

I knew Andy Bahou thirty something years ago in Murfreesboro when he was a young man in his twenties. I left M’boro after a few years and opened a law practice in my hometown of Shelbyville, and lost track of Andy. But the Andy that I knew was a ‘good guy’ and a very active Republican in M’boro. I suppose that Andy’s work took him from Rutherford to Williamson County. I highly recommend Andy to the voters of Williamson County for retiring Rep. Casada’s seat. He is a true Conservative and will be an excellent Republican representative for the people of Williamson County. Good luck to you, Andy!
