Trump Urges Georgians to Vote Early amid Record Breaking Turnout, Hand-Count Ruling

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday night urged Georgia residents to turn their ballots in early, after the state counted a record-breaking 300,000 votes cast during the first day of early voting and a state court blocked a hand-counting ballot rule. 

Georgia Secretary of State Chief Operating Officer Gabriel Sterling confirmed the number in a social media post, saying the number was “123% higher than the old record for the 1st day of voting.” Tuesday was the first day of in-person early voting in the Southern state, and the first day voters could return absentee ballots.

Fani Willis Asks Appeals Court to Reinstate Three Election Charges Against Trump

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis late Tuesday asked the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals to reinstate three election subversion charges against former President Donald Trump, and three against his allies.

Judge Scott McAfee dismissed six charges against Trump and his allies over their alleged efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election in March. McAfee determined at the time that there was not enough evidence of an underlying crime that that the group was soliciting from a public officer.

Ohio Supreme Court Upholds Secretary of State’s Anti-Ballot Harvesting Directive

The Ohio Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld the secretary of state’s directive preventing ballot harvesting, ruling that its challengers filed their suit too late.

In August, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose (R) issued a directive stating that ballot drop boxes outside county boards of elections can only be used by voters dropping off their own ballots, Dayton Daily News reported. Anyone returning a ballot for a family member or disabled voter is required to enter county boards of elections offices and fill out an attestation form stating that they are following the law.

The Biden-Harris administration has become synonymous with an economy in tatters. Americans are struggling with rising prices, stagnant wages, and increased obstacles to starting a business, buying a home or retiring. According to the Gallup Economic Confidence Index, Americans’ outlook on the economy from 2021 to 2024 has been negative.

Contrast this with the economic prosperity seen under the Trump administration. America enjoyed energy abundance, skyrocketing wages, a record number of startups and incredible stock market averages. A large part of this success can be credited to the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), a tax cut for families and small businesses that fueled one of the strongest economies in decades.

Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA-30) will reportedly break from his California campaign for U.S. Senate to travel to Arizona for a joint campaign event held by Representative Ruben Gallego (D-AZ-03).

Schiff will reportedly travel to Arizona as part of an effort to help Democrats in tough elections, according to Punchbowl News, which reported on Monday that a person familiar with the Californian’s travel plans confirmed he plans to appear with Gallego.

Accused Apalachee High School Shooter Created ‘Shrine’ to Past Attacks, Left Notebooks and Apology Letter: GBI Agents

Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) special agents offered new information about Colt Gray, the 14-year-old accused of killing four at Apalachee High School on September 4, during a Wednesday hearing in the case against the teen’s father, Colin Gray, who is faces second-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, and cruelty to children charges for allegedly giving his son the rifle authorities say was used at the school.

Investigators stated that Colt Gray left a note for his family at his father’s home, owned at least four notebooks with drawings and writings that related to school shootings or the September 4 attack, and created a “shrine” with more than a dozen photographs and news clippings from previous attacks on schools.

Pennsylvania County Settles 2022 Election Lawsuit over Insufficient Ballot Paper at 40 Polling Locations

A settlement was announced on Tuesday between Luzerne County, Pennsylvania and two voters who the county acknowledged were disenfranchised after election officials failed to procure a sufficient quantity of ballot paper during the 2022 midterm elections.

The lawsuit was brought by Luzerne County voters William French and Melynda Anne Reese, according to a press release from the non-profit elections ethics organization, the Center for Election Confidence (CEC).

A new film by Public Interest Legal Foundation is bringing attention to the illegal listing of hundreds of commercial addresses as voters’ residences on Arizona’s voter roll ahead of the November 5 general election. According to state law, these addresses are not considered residences.

Under the Arizona Revised Statutes 16-152, the voter registration should include the “complete address of the registrant’s actual place of residence, including street name and number, apartment or space number, city or town and zip code, or such description of the location of the residence that it can be readily ascertained or identified.”
