Invalid ID Presented by Kilmar Abrego Garcia Expired Two Months Prior to Tennessee Traffic Stop

Kilmar Abrego Garcia

The Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) Report provided to The Tennessee Star by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security (TDOSHS), containing a minute-by-minute report of actions taken by the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) during Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s traffic stop on November 30, 2022, revealed that the Maryland driver’s license presented by the Salvadoran citizen had been expired for more than two months at the time of the stop.

After The Star first reported that Abrego Garcia was stopped in Tennessee, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security confirmed troopers suspected him of human trafficking, and THP told The Star that troopers were instructed to release the illegal immigrant by the “Biden-era FBI.”

Tennessee State Agency Did Not Explain Redacted Audio in Kilmar Abrego Garcia Body Cam Release

Kilmar Abrego Garcia

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security (TDOSHS) on Thursday sent The Tennessee Star two video files and four pages of documents from the November 30, 2022, stop by Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) of El Salvadoran citizen Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has confirmed was suspected of human trafficking by troopers after being pulled over for speeding and failing to maintain his lane.

Despite The Star seeking video recorded by dashboard and body-worn cameras from all of the THP troopers involved in the traffic stop, TDOSHS included only the footage recorded by the trooper responsible for the stop. This is despite at least one of the other troopers’ body-worn cameras being visible in the video released by TDOSHS on Thursday.

Trump Closes Tariff Loophole That Let China Flood America with Knockoff Goods, Drugs

TEMU

The Trump administration officially closed a tariff loophole which China had long exploited to flood the U.S. with cheap goods and increasingly, deadly drugs.

President Donald Trump’s order ends the de minimis loophole, which allowed imports under $800 to enter the U.S. duty-free and with little to no customs scrutiny, according to a White House fact sheet. In 2022, over 80% of all U.S. imports qualified for this exemption. Last year alone, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) processed more than 1.3 billion de minimis packages, nearly four million every day, government statistics show.

Trump meeting

President Donald Trump is seeking massive cuts to government programs, including culling more than $160 billion in non-defense spending in his fiscal year 2026 (FY26) budget request.

Trump released a budget proposal for the upcoming fiscal year Friday morning, which asks Congress to approve slashing non-defense discretionary spending 22.6% below fiscal year 2025 levels. Trump’s request to reduce this spending to its lowest level since 2017 builds on the Department of Government Efficiency’s cost-cutting initiatives to root out government waste and downsize the federal government.

Washington Examiner   Gov. Brian Kemp (R-GA) has opted not to run for the U.S. Senate in Georgia’s 2026 election, a decision that could reshape the GOP’s path to unseating Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) and trigger a high-stakes Republican primary. Kemp, a popular Republican, has decided against a run after sitting down last month with Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) and National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman Tim Scott (R-SC).  The governor told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he wouldn’t run for Senate in 2026, citing personal reasons, but pledged to support the GOP in finding and backing a strong, conservative candidate who can win. Apple Announces Most U.S. iPhones Will Come from India

Breitbart   Apple reported its highest March-quarter revenue in over two years, reaching $95 billion, as customers rushed to purchase devices ahead of potential new U.S. tariffs. As a result of the ongoing trade war with China, the tech giant announced that the majority of U.S. iPhones would come from India, while iPads and other devices would be imported from Vietnam. The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple announced a significant surge in revenue for the March quarter, driven by strong demand for iPhones and other devices as customers moved to make purchases before the introduction of new U.S. tariffs in April. The tech giant reported a five percent increase in sales, reaching $95 billion, surpassing analyst expectations. Net income for the quarter also rose by nearly five percent compared to the same period last year, reaching $24.8 billion. One of the key factors contributing to the strong sales was the release of the iPhone 16e during the quarter. This lower-end model, which features limited artificial intelligence capabilities, helped drive demand alongside the pre-tariff buying rush. However, Apple faces ongoing challenges due to its exposure to China, where most of its devices have been traditionally assembled. The company has been one of the…

Newt Gingrich Exposes Methods Media Uses to Churn Out ‘Dishonest’ Polls to Hurt Trump

Newt Gingrich

by Hailey Gomez   Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Thursday on “Hannity” that Republicans need to act “tougher and clearer” against Democrats’ opposition to President Donald Trump, calling out polls against the president. Ahead of Trump’s first 100 days in office, polls from outlets like ABC News, CBS News and CNN showed a drop in confidence for how the president handles the job, significantly dipping from his high approval rating in February. “I got a little preview about poll numbers that are coming out tomorrow and from both Robert Cahaly and Matt Towery, who I respect a lot, and, as I suspected, all of the polls that the media has been pushing on the American people about Donald Trump are false,” Hannity said. “That’s what the early indications are and that all the pollsters that got the election in 24′ wrong and got every election about Donald Trump wrong. All of those people, the ones [that] say, ‘Oh he’s plummeting, but meanwhile they’re ignoring Chuck [Schumer] is at 17% and the Democrats are in the 20’s. I’m trying to understand that logic. Can you help me out?” Hannity asked. In a CBS News poll released on Feb. 9, Trump reached his highest…
