Elise Stefanik Demands Letitia James Disbarment for ‘Lawfare Campaign’ Against Donald Trump

Breitbart News Republican House Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (NY) on Tuesday issued a 64-page letter to the New York Committee on Professional Standards demanding the disbarment of New York Attorney General Letitia James for allegedly violating “principles of fairness and impartiality” by engaging in “relentless lawfare” on social media against former President Donald Trump. If James is disbarred, it would substantially increase Trump’s chances of defeating James’ prosecution. James seeks to essentially bankrupt Trump by calling for a $370 million fine and a lifetime of earnings from the real estate industry in New York State. James claims Trump committed financial fraud. Supreme Court Signals Reluctance to Disqualify Trump from Ballot

The Hill The Supreme Court on Thursday appeared reluctant to take the extraordinary step of disqualifying former President Trump from appearing on the ballot during a historic oral argument  in which the justices grilled lawyers about whether states have the authority to ban a candidate from running for office. The justices spent almost no time debating whether Trump engaged in insurrection through his actions surrounding the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack, which various lawsuits contend requires Trump’s disqualification under the 14th Amendment.    Instead, the court during the two-hour argument largely delved into various threshold matters that would doom the various challenges without requiring the justices to reach that politically fraught question. Montana Governor Defends Removal of 14-Year-Old from Parents Who Opposed Gender Identity

The National Desk Republican Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte told The National Desk (TND) Monday state officials acted within their legal limitations by removing a child from parents who objected to their transitioning gender identity. Montana Child and Family Services (CFS) officials took custody of the 14-year-old from parents Krista and Todd Kolstad this month, according to Reduxx. The teenager is reportedly a biological female and recently began to express suicidal thoughts. While being treated at a hospital in August, doctors began using the child’s preferred name and pronouns, which do not correspond with the child’s biological sex, according to Reduxx. The parents reportedly opposed and noted allowing their child to undergo any form of gender transition, socially or medically, was a violation of their “values, morals, and … religious beliefs.” READ THE FULL STORY

Idris Elba and Electric Buses: EPA Chief Lived Large While East Palestine Burned

Washington Free Beacon East Palestine was the last thing on Environmental Protection Agency administrator Michael Regan’s mind in the weeks following the Feb. 3, 2023, train derailment that flooded the Ohio town with toxic chemicals. Ten days after the spill, as residents questioned whether it was safe to even touch their water, Regan finalized plans for an African climate change summit on a video call with British actor Idris Elba, according to calendar records obtained by the Functional Government Initiative and shared with the Washington Free Beacon. Just over an hour later, Regan hopped on the phone with MSNBC contributor April Ryan to discuss the upcoming trip and pat himself on the back for accepting Elba’s “challenge” to be more inclusive of African nations. Ryan discussed the call in an exclusive story for The Grio shortly afterward. As East Palestine grappled with the chemical fallout, Regan was jet-setting across the country advertising electric school buses and touring water treatment plants, his calendar records show. Regan finally visited the devastated Ohio town 13 days after the derailment, amid public outrage at the Biden administration’s perceived disinterest in the unfolding disaster. Senate Border Deal Would Allow 5,000 Illegal Immigrants a Day

The Washington Times Conservative activists are recoiling as details leak from the immigration deal being negotiated in the Senate suggesting illegal border crossers will be immediately eligible for work permits and the government will allow up to 5,000 illegal immigrants a day before new expulsion powers kick in. Talks have been going on for weeks and the plans have been tightly guarded by the negotiators, but Rosemary Jenks, government relations director at the Immigration Accountability Project, said she’s been briefed by multiple people familiar with the negotiations and has been sharing details online. She said the current framework includes a right to government-funded lawyers for illegal immigrant children struggling through the immigration courts, and would also expand legal immigration, both priorities for President Biden. In exchange, Republicans have won new limits on attempts to claim asylum and expanded speedy deportation powers, but no significant new restrictions on Homeland Security’s power to “parole” illegal immigrants directly into the U.S. READ THE FULL STORY

Donald Trump: This Is How I Will End Joe Biden’s Border Disaster on Day One

Des Moines Register The most urgent task facing the next president is to end Joe Biden’s nation-wrecking nightmare on our southern border. I am the only candidate who will stop this invasion — and I will do it on day one. Under the Trump administration, we had the most secure border in U.S. history. We ended catch-and-release, and removed over 1 million illegal aliens in my first term. I negotiated unprecedented agreements with Central American nations and brokered “Remain in Mexico” to stop the flow of migrants to our border. I also got the Mexican government to deploy tens of thousands of soldiers to the border free of charge. Every step of the way, we fought obstructionist left-wing judges and radical Democrat activists who tried to stop us — and we won. READ THE FULL STORY

In the last ten years, the proportion of Democrats has increased to 36.4 percent and proportion of Independents has ticked upwards to 51.7 percent, while the already low Republican share has been cut in half.  The last study in 2013 pegged the proportion of Republican journalists in America at 7.1 percent, Democrats at 28.1 percent, and  Independents at 50.2 percent. It’s fair to guess that journalists who choose “independent” are attempting to look nonpartisan, but we can safely guess a large share of them are Biden-Harris voters. READ THE FULL STORY

As authorized in the fiscal 2024 National Defense Authorization Act, which Biden is expected to sign this week, military service personnel also will see an average 5.2 percent pay raise next year. An average 5.2 percent pay increase marks the largest authorized for federal workers since the Carter administration adopted a 9.1 percent average raise in 1980, as well as a 0.6 percent increase over last year’s raise, which itself marked a 20-year high. Swain: A Can-Do Attitude Is More Important Than Race or Social Class

New York Post Political science professor Dr. Carol Swain is one of the academics whom Claudine Gay, president of Harvard, plagiarized. Swain has called for Gay’s firing and a “return to sanity” by Harvard University. Here, she explains how the insanity has spread across higher education — with a philosophy labeled DEI. A few months ago, I was invited to apply for a visiting professorship at a major university out west. As part of the application, I had to submit a mandatory diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) statement. It was difficult to write because I believe that all DEI programs should be abolished and that we can achieve diversity without discrimination. As I argued in my co-authored book, “The Adversity of Diversity,” DEI programs are divisive, and many, if not all, of the programs violate our civil rights laws, as well as the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. New York Post An extremist Michigan cleric whose hate-filled sermons were said to have inspired the London Bridge terrorist attack has called on American Muslims to wage Jihad against the “infidel West” — and blamed the US led by “senile Pharaoh” Biden for what he called a “genocide in Palestine.” Ahmad Musa Jibril, 51, a radical Islamist preacher who was born in Dearborn, is seen in videos posted on social media arguing that Muslims in the US should turn away from what he described as a watered-down “American-Zionist Islam” that ignores the idea of Jihad. “Yes, there is holy war in Islam, it is Jihad,” Jibril lectured in one clip posted on X by an account associated with the fanatical imam.  READ THE FULL STORY

Jewish Alumni Group: Harvard Aims to Reduce Jews to 1-2 Percent of Student Population

Breitbart News Harvard University may intend to reduce the proportion of Jews in its student body to 1-2 percent, roughly the Jewish share of the U.S. population, according to a newsletter published by a new group of Jewish alumni of the institution. In a “December update,” the newly-formed “Harvard Jewish Alumni Alliance” reported Friday (original emphasis): We have seen data that suggest that the Jewish population at the College has declined from 20-25 percent in the 1990s-2000s to 5-7 percent today, but that almost all that decline occurred in recent years. We have heard from multiple sources at the University that it is the official, undisclosed policy of the school to drive down Jewish admissions to 1-2 percent of the student body, proportionately matching Jews’ percentage of the U.S. population. This violates basic meritocratic principles and recent Supreme Court jurisprudence. Like the shameful Jewish quotas in Harvard’s past, current limits mimic the Soviets, who used similar tactics to limit Jewish access to education. The purported 2 percent quota would go much further than the 15 percent Jewish quota then-Harvard President Abbott Lowell tried to impose a century ago, when the proportion of Jewish students at Harvard was over 20 percent. The New York Post  Harvard University covered up a high-level investigation into whether its controversial president was a plagiarist — and used an expensive law firm to threaten The Post over our own probe. The college announced Tuesday morning that it had investigated Claudine Gay over whether some of her academic work was plagiarized and had cleared her of breaching the college’s “standards for research misconduct.” Instead, it said that she would request four corrections in two publications to insert citations and quotation marks that were originally “omitted.” READ THE FULL STORY
