Former President Donald Trump on Thursday posted via his Truth Social account that he will fight to prevent men from competing in women’s sports.
Trump shared in his post a video of a women’s Olympic boxing match between Angela Carini of Italy and Imane Khelif of Algeria. Khelif qualified to compete in the Paris Olympic Games after being disqualified from the 2023 International Boxing Association (IBA) finals for not meeting the organization’s eligibility requirements.
IBA president Umar Kremlev told a Russian news agency at the time that Khelif has “XY chromosomes,” Reuters reports.
