Tunnel to Towers Delivers Mortgage-Free Homes to Three Tennessee Families of Fallen Veterans

In observance of Memorial Day, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation honored 30 of America’s fallen veterans and first responders by delivering mortgage-free homes to the families that they left behind, including three in Tennessee.

Families of US Army Chief Warrant Officer 4 Michael Harris and US Army Sergeant John Paul Castro, both from Clarksville, and Dickson County Sheriff Sgt Daniel Baker from Columbia are among the recipients that have received a mortgage-free home or their mortgage paid off by Tunnel to Towers.

Officer Harris, a U.S. Army veteran of 25 years, served as a combat engineer and Apache pilot, and was one of the few pilots trusted to participate in special ops flights under the cover of darkness. Harris died from cancer which was attributed to his military career, according to News Channel 9, citing information received from Tunnel to Towers.

Sergeant Castro, who had been with the Army since 2004, was on his third tour in Afghanistan when his unit was attacked in 2011. Sergeant Baker was a U.S. Marine who was shot and killed in 2018 while serving for the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office.

“To all of the families who understand the true meaning of Memorial Day, I thank you for your service and sacrifice. We know that no service member serves alone and when they serve the whole family serves. It is our honor to support these families who have sacrificed so much so we can enjoy all the freedoms America has to offer,” Chairman and CEO of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Frank Siller, said in a statement.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable organization that honors American veterans by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. The organization also helps homeless veterans.

Since its founding, the organization has raised over $500 million and delivered over 1000 mortgage-free homes to the families of American veterans.

T2T is the best organization that does what it says.
Something like 95% of what they take in as donations is used directly on the families they support.
SUCH A GREAT SERVICE FOR FAMILIES THAT MAKE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE FOR THEIR COUNTRY & COMMUNITY.
Thank you T2T for all you do.

Taxpayer monies should be going to charities such as this that help America’s Veterans and not to a money laundering scheme like the Ukraine.
This a good note within the darkness that has enveloped the World.
Thumbs up guys for your good work..
