On Thursday, October 10, Blackburn’s pop-up offices will be open at the Greene County Annex from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. ET in Greeneville and at the Cocke County Recreation Center from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET in Newport.

Tennesseans who visit the senator’s pop-up locations this week will have access to “critical federal resources” and will have assistance with “replacing any federal documentation that may be needed to receive federal assistance, including social security cards, veteran records, and tax information,” according to Blackburn’s office.

Blackburn’s staff are also able to assist those impacted by the hurricane in following up on disaster assistance applications with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Upon opening her pop-up offices this week, Blackburn said she wants to “ensure that every impacted resident has access to the resources they need,” adding, “Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the recent flooding.”

In addition to opening pop-up offices this week, Blackburn has also launched a webpage (https://www.blackburn.senate.gov/helene) on her official website dedicated to providing resource information for Tennesseans impacted by Hurricane Helene.

The Tennessee Department of Health has confirmed a total of 15 weather-related deaths in the Volunteer State from flash flooding caused by Hurricane Helene.
