Video Shows Pro-Palestine Protesters Stopped Traffic, Disrupted Christmas Eve Shoppers in Tennessee

Video captured pro-Palestine protesters waving flags in Collierville, Tennessee on December 24, where they reportedly interfered with Christmas shoppers.

Newsmax host and author Todd Starnes wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that the crowd was “mostly Muslim” in a post seen more than 300,000 times. Video of the incident shows protesters drive through a parking lot, then stop. Though words appear to be exchanged between the protesters and Christmas Eve shoppers, their words are unintelligible in the video due to the number of horns honking. Individuals with Palestinian flags are seen running on the sidewalk as the vehicles bearing Palestine’s flag are stopped in the parking lot.

The Mighty 990 reported that multiple listeners confirmed the time and date of the protest. The station reported that one report claimed protesters “clogged the streets to prevent shopper ingress/egress and unleashed individual terrorists out to run up and down the sidewalks with Palestinian flags.”

A second report to the station remarked on the significance of the protest happening in Collierville, a Memphis suburb that U.S. Census estimates suggest contains just over 50,000 residents.

Justin Johnson, a Collierville Republican, posted photos taken at the protest to social media. After noting his support for the First Amendment, Johnson nonetheless declared, “Protests should not be intrusive and dangerous to drivers, shoppers, and the protestors,” and called the pro-Hamas protest on Christmas Eve “irresponsible and not appropriate for the time or place.”

In Nashville and other parts of Tennessee, pro-Palestine protests have been a regular occurrence in since Hamas launched its October 7 terrorist attacks against Israel. In November, the city marked six straight weeks of pro-Palestine and anti-Israel rallies.

Tennessee State Senator Heidi Campbell (D-Nashville) joined the crowd for one October protest, and was spotted standing near a man who appeared to be an organizer with the event. Protesters at the event Campbell attended used slogans, including, “this occupation’s got to go” and “Not another nickel, not another dime; no more money for Israel’s crimes,” but the lawmaker quickly left after she spotted cameras trained on her.

Pro-Palestine protests in Nashville continued through most of December, with activists gathering on weekends. On December 16, activists in Nashville issued a call for a “statewide protest” following a call to action from Palestinian photojournalist Motaz Hilal Azaiza’s call for “mass demonstrations” across the United States in “solidarity with Gaza.”

At least one demonstration was billed as a “peace rally” despite the organizers sharing the pro-Palestine and anti-Israel opinion of other protesters.

The protests also spread to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where they planned a protest and art installation on the university’s Pedestrian Walkway.

So now it has finally moved to the suburbs, and in an area with quite a bit of well-to-do. It’s in your backyard, now, my fellow Americans. They’ve popped the bubble you’ve been living in. It won’t get better until the authorities are released to do what they were hired to do.

these people seem to want to cause problems for other citizens. Where were the police?

Paid agitators by the Soros family, just like BLM and the antifa pajama boys. These fools need to be dealt with right away. Leftists are such children and they behave like a bunch of lemmings.
