Tens of thousands of people traveled to Nashville for former President Donald Trump’s keynote speech at the world’s largest Bitcoin conference, Bitcoin 2024, on Saturday at Music City Center.
Bitcoin 2024 is a three-day “immersive experience aimed at inspiring, educating, and connecting the global Bitcoin community,” which attracted reportedly over 22,000 attendees on Saturday, day two of the event.

Thousands lined the streets of downtown Nashville prior to Trump’s speech at the conference as his motorcade made its way to the venue.
Inside the conference saw a similar scene as thousands lined up hours before Trump arrived in an effort to witness the former president’s speech.
During his 49-minute speech, Trump called Bitcoin a “miracle of cooperation and human achievement,” predicting that the cryptocurrency, one day, will “surpass the market cap of Gold.”
“Bitcoin is not just a marvel of technology but a miracle of cooperation and human achievement,” Trump said.
Trump also vowed that “the United States will be the crypto capital of the planet and the Bitcoin superpower of the World” if he is elected in November.
“I’m laying out my plan to ensure that the United States will be the crypto capital of the planet and the Bitcoin superpower of the World,” Trump said. “If Bitcoin is going to the Moon – as we say – I want America to be the nation that leads the way.”
In addition to Trump, Bitcoin 2024 also hosted Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Organizers of the event also extended an invite to Vice President Kamala Harris – who appears to be the Democratic Party’s presumptive 2024 presidential nominee following President Joe Biden’s exit from the race – however, Harris declined to speak at the event.
Trump’s well-received speech at Bitcoin 2024 follows his campaign announcement in May that it would be accepting cryptocurrency donations by launching a fundraising page that would allow any federally permissible donor to give—through its joint fundraising committees—using any cryptocurrency accepted through the Coinbase Commerce product.
