Beacon Center Poll: Donald Trump Leading Biden by 31 Points in Tennessee, Marsha Blackburn Up 20 Points over Democrat Gloria Johnson

The Nashville-based Beacon Center of Tennessee published results of its poll this week revealing how registered Tennessee voters would vote in the 2024 presidential and senate races.

The right-of-center think tank polled 1,181 registered voters in the Volunteer State from October 5 to October 16.

Regarding the 2024 presidential election, the think tank’s poll shows that Donald Trump has a 31-point lead (61 percent-30 percent) over Joe Biden in a head-to-head matchup in the Volunteer State.

Trump’s head-to-head matchup lead against Biden in Tennessee has grown 10 points since the Beacon Center released its previous poll in July.

However, when Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is included as an Independent third-party candidate for president, Trump’s lead over Biden drops to 25 points (48 percent-23 percent) as Kennedy garnered 19 percent.

In the 2024 Republican presidential primary, Trump leads the pool of candidates by huge margins.

Trump’s 64 percent is followed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ 16 percent, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy’s 3 percent, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley’s 3 percent, and former Vice President Mike Pence’s 2 percent.

All other GOP presidential candidates – U.S. South Carolina Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum – polled at 0 percent.

A combined 12 percent of polled voters said they would vote for someone else in the GOP primary or remain unsure who they would vote for.

As for the 2024 Senate race, U.S. incumbent Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) leads Tennessee State Representative Gloria Johnson (pictured above) (D-Knoxville) by 20 points (49 percent-29 percent) while 23 percent of voters remain undecided.

Blackburn also leads Marquita Bradshaw, who was the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in 2020, by 12 points (48 percent-36 percent) while 17 percent remain undecided.

As for Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, a total of 47 percent of likely voters approve of the jobs he’s doing, while 25 percent disapprove.

Hard to believe that Mr. Lee has a 47% approval rating after shutting down the state over COVID with 18 months of executive orders. He is a disaster and just goes to prove that anyone with lots of money and connections can become Tennessee governor if they put an “R” beside their name. I consider him a RINO at best and a liberal for the most part.
