Dave McCormick Wants Additional Observers, ‘Huge Voter Turnout’ After Pennsylvania Officials Warn of Delayed Election Results

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Dave McCormick on Sunday urged additional election observers after the Pennsylvania Department of State warned that election results may not be available on Election Day, and claimed that changing vote totals should not be construed as evidence of “rigging.”

Ultimately, McCormick said that Republicans in Pennsylvania must go to the polls with a “huge voter turnout” that will result in a resounding victory announced on the night of the election.

In a Thursday post to the social media platform X, the Pennsylvania Department of State stated, “Pennsylvanians won’t always know the final results of all races on election night.

It claimed, “Any changes in results that occur as counties continue to count ballots are not evidence that an election is ‘rigged.'”

McCormick was asked to respond by Fox News host Maria Bartiromo during an appearance on Sunday Morning Futures, and acknowledged the Pennsylvania General Assembly was unable to make “the changes we need made in our legislation, there’s no doubt.”

Instead, McCormick argued Republicans “have to have huge voter turnouts so we win with such a margin that it’s without question,” while simultaneously running “huge efforts to have observers and oversee ballots, oversee elections, make sure we have great lawyers in place.”

Ultimately, McCormick told Bartiromo sending him to the Senate would put him in a position to help the Trump administration achieve nationwide election integrity goals.

“Finally, we need voter I.D., which I know President Trump has supported and I’ll support as a senator,” said McCormick. “That’s the only way we’re going to ensure we have completely fair elections.”

The former Trump administration official summarized, “We’ve made some changes in Pennsylvania that are going to help us this time around, but we’re not where we need to be. We’ve got to have a great turnout to win in November.”

McCormick will face Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) in November, and on the campaign trail has frequently noted Casey’s close friendship with President Joe Biden and 98 percent alignment with Vice President Kamala Harris on votes in the Senate.

The McCormick campaign received national attention for its viral ad which slammed Casey for endorsing the “most liberal presidential nominee” in American history, and more recently released advertising labeling Harris, Casey and Governor Tim Walz “dangerously soft” on crime.

Surveys tracked by Real Clear Polling show McCormick continues to trail Casey by just 7 percentage points among Pennsylvania voters.
