Franklin Mayor Dr. Ken Moore won re-election Tuesday night against Gabrielle Hanson by a landslide margin, according to unofficial election results by the Williamson County Election Commission.
With all eight voting centers reporting shortly after 8:00 p.m., a total of 12,822 votes were counted for Moore, while just 3,322 votes were counted for Hanson. Only 65 voters voted for a different candidate.
“Franklin has never been more united after this election,” Moore said in his victory speech inside the ballroom at the Harpeth Hotel.
Tuesday’s election was not completely error-free, however.
Nearly three hours after polls opened, Chad Gray with the Williamson County Election Commission released a statement, saying, “There is some misinformation being put out about our election process. All voting locations are operating as usual. All equipment is working correctly. We encourage all Franklin residents to vote; polls open until 7 pm!”
Grey released the statement after Hanson wrote in a Facebook post, “It seems that there are issues with the voting machines at some locations today. The intended process is for the ballot to print both the names of your choices and a barcode. However, in certain places, it’s only printing a barcode.”
In addition, the City of Franklin also released a statement, saying, “Intimidation of citizens or media covering local elections will not be tolerated. The Franklin Police Department will be providing additional patrol near all polling places throughout Election Day. All citizens who are registered to vote are encouraged to exercise their right to vote. Our Police Department team will be in contact with the Williamson County Election Commission to support their administration of the election process. There will be no tolerance of voter intimidation or disruption of any kind.”

Franklin is more united……I doubt it……
Well this is what happens when you don’t have mayoral primaries as state law AND CLOSED ONES TOO.
