Brand new polling across the battleground states shows that Biden’s exit has tightened the presidential race, with Kamala Harris at a narrow 47-46 percent advantage in a head-to-head matchup, with 7 percent undecided. Harris is also +1 percent in a multi-candidate ballot test across the battlegrounds.

The American Greatness poll was conducted by North Star Opinion Research and interviewed 1400 likely voters, 200 per state in Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina.

The poll was conducted July 29-Aug 2 and the margin of error is +/- 2.62 percent.

On the issues, the poll shows potential pitfalls for Harris, especially on the economy.

Regarding “Bidenomics,” 15 percent said it works “very well” vs. 40 percent of swing state voters who said it works “not at all.” Among young voters aged 18-34 years old, 9 percent said Bidenomics works “very well.”

Trump holds a +11 percent advantage on the “were you better off under Trump or Biden/Harris?” question, with 51 percent reporting better prosperity under Trump, 40 percent preferring the economy of Biden/Harris, and 9 percent uncertain.

On the topic of reparations, battleground voters overwhelmingly reject Kamala Harris’s pro-reparations stance, with 27 percent backing her view. Among blue-collar white voters, 18 percent agree with Kamala Harris’s support of reparations.

Voters also blame Kamala Harris for inflation, with 64 percent of battleground voters stating that she deserves “a great deal” or “some” blame for the 44 percent spike in grocery prices since she became vice-president.

Regarding the border, 8 percent view the job performance of Kamala Harris as “very strong” vs. 47 percent who view it as “very weak.” In a related question on law-and-order, a supermajority rejects the 2020 campaign promise of Kamala Harris to seize semi automatic rifles in a forced “buyback” program. Among the 1400 likely voters surveyed in the battleground states, 34 percent support the view of Kamala Harris while 58 percent oppose mandatory buybacks of guns.
