Nashville, Tennessee– The Woodshed Guitar Experience (WGE) will be held in Crossville, Tennessee from August 27-30.
The event will be hosted by master guitarist Andy Wood (rock, bluegrass) and facilitated by renowned guitarists Joe Bonamassa (blues), Brent Mason (country), Andy Timmons (rock), Mark Lettieri (Gospel, R & B), and Greg Koch (blues, funk, jazz).
Wood described this event as a three-day vacation where guitar enthusiasts can learn from six of the top guys in the guitar community.
Lodging and food are covered in the registration cost. Additionally, a variety of meal options will be offered to all attendees, with special accommodations for campers with food allergies.
When creating this retreat, the musicians knew they needed to do something on a smaller scale because of COVID-19. While Lake Frances has the space to host well over 1,000 people, the event will only allow 110 general admission tickets to be sold along with 15 VIP passes.
With smaller numbers for this exclusive event, The WGE has the space to create a positive and safe environment.
“We decided to put together an event that could bring a little happiness to some fellow music lovers and guitar nerds,” Wood said. “That’s the least we can do.”
The exclusive experience is designed to inspire and educate musicians by offering hands-on opportunities with some of the most talented artists in the industry.
To further promote social distancing, classes will be conducted in shifts in open areas. At the end of the event, the WGE plans to do a full open concert for the small group of attendees. Also of note, the house band performing will consist of Jim Reilley on drums, Travis Toy on steel guitar, and Adam Nitti on bass.
“[This group of artists] is like a stable full of Ferraris and Lamborghinis. I just want them to go do what they do,” Wood said.
This is sure to provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience for any guitar enthusiast.
The WGE will appeal to guitars lovers of all ages and family members are encouraged to participate together.
