The man police arrested for an alleged May 11 sexual assault of a woman outside a Vanderbilt Medical Center parking garage is a sex offender and a repeat felon, according to MNPD and court records about the suspect.

The suspect is Daniel Revette, 39. Before he was arrested, he already had outstanding warrants for attempted rape, sexual battery, and kidnapping, MNPD posted to X. Officers arrested Revette after he tried to be admitted to a Nashville hospital for an evaluation.

Revette is currently in custody at the Nashville Downtown Detention Center at the Maximum Security level, according to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office website. He faces five felony charges: community supervision violation, sex offender registration violation, aggravated kidnapping, rape, and aggravated sexual battery.

Revette is currently not eligible for release, and his combined bond is set at $160,000.

Before that, Revette was most recently convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in March 2020, according to Davidson County court records. He was sentenced to six years of incarceration.

Revette’s criminal record stretches back to 2005 when he was first criminally convicted of attempted rape and sentenced with six years. Since then, Revette’s been convicted of vandalism, assault, evading arrest, criminal trespassing, and identity theft.

He has also been convicted of several sex offender registration violations.

Lets see. His record goes back to 1985 and is 45 pages long. The wacko libs have pretty much destroyed 3 strikes and you are locked up for life. I am thinking 45 pages of ‘strikes’ is plenty and it’s time to lock up this burden on society in the Department of Corrections for life, with no chance of parole.

A felon committing another crime? Suely not. I cannot believe that he is still in custody.
