Steve Bannon Makes Phone Call from Prison, Urges Everyone ‘to GET TO WORK!’

Steve Bannon, former chief strategist to former President Donald Trump and host of the popular show War Room, made contact for the first time from inside the Federal Correctional Institution Danbury in Danbury, Connecticut, where he is currently serving his four-month prison sentence.

Bannon communicated his message through a 5-minute phone call to Grace Chong, who is the CFO and COO of War Room, on Tuesday. Like all federal prisoners incarcerated at FCI Danbury, Bannon is allowed to make 320 minutes of phone calls each month.

Chong announced she had contacted Bannon, writing on X, formerly Twitter, “BANNON UPDATE: Just spoke to Steve. He’s doing great and says hello to everyone. The prison is well organized but still a prison. He’s in good spirits and urges everyone to GET TO WORK! I’ll keep you all updated!”

Bannon was sentenced to four months imprisonment for a 2022 conviction on contempt of Congress charges for ignoring a subpoena from the January 6 Select Committee.

Last month, Bannon appealed his case to Supreme Court Justice John Roberts, who is charged with handling emergency appeals from Washington, D.C.; however, the Court rejected his appeal.

On Monday, just before self-reporting to FCI Danbury to begin serving his four-month sentence, Bannon held a press conference in which he said he was “proud to go to prison” if it meant “standing up” to the Biden regime.

“I’m a political prisoner of Nancy Pelosi. I’m a political prisoner of Merrick Garland. I’m a political prisoner of Joe Biden, the corrupt Biden establishment,” Bannon said. “It’s Nancy Pelosi and Merrick Garland that made me a martyr, right? But martyrs die, and I’m far from dead, baby.”

“I am proud to go to prison. If this is what it takes to stand up to tyranny. If this is what it takes to stand up to the Garland corrupt, criminal DOJ. If this is what it takes to stand up to Nancy Pelosi. If this is what it takes to stand up to Joe Biden, I’m proud to do it,” Bannon added.
