Tennessee native Al Gore said late last week that as President, Joe Biden, could appoint former President Barack Obama as a “Coronavirus Czar.”
Gore said this from an undisclosed location in Nashville when he appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher.
Maher began the interview by noting that Bernie Sanders dropped out as a Democratic presidential candidate. Biden, Maher said, is the likely nominee.
“What would you think about Biden naming Obama the coronavirus czar right now? He did really good with the Ebola virus,” Maher asked Gore.
“Do you think that would excite people to get to the polls, knowing that Obama was going to be in charge of handling this disease, as opposed to the way it’s being handled at the top right now?”
Gore responded:
Well, he might want to check with President Obama first. He might not want to take that position.
But, of course, Barack Obama would be extremely capable at anything that he was assigned to. I question whether or not Biden would want to do that right now, but it’s not a bad idea.
Elsewhere in the interview Gore said burning fossil fuels and polluting the air with exhaust emissions “is a pre-existing condition that raises the death rate from COVID-19.”
Gore also laughed at Trump’s assertion that mail-votes are potentially fraudulent. Gore then accused Republicans of suppressing voter turnout.
“I come from the South, where [voter suppression has been going on for a relatively long time,” Gore said.
As reported last year, Gore won the top Climate Hypocrite Award, given to climate change alarmists who don’t practice what they preach. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) presented the award.
As National Center for Public Policy Research Senior Fellow Drew Johnson concluded in a report:
Al Gore has attained a near-mythical status for his frenzied efforts to propagandize global warming. At the same time, Gore has done little to prove his commitment to the cause in his own life.
While Gore encourages people throughout the world to reduce their carbon footprint and make drastic changes to cut energy consumption, Gore’s own home electricity use has hypocritically increased to more than 21 times the national average this past year with no sign of slowing down.
As reported last year, Gore traveled to Australia to preach to the locals about climate change — at Australian taxpayers’ expense – for a three-day climate change lecture in Queensland at the Minister’s Climate Change event in Brisbane.

No matter what is going on, it’s always fun to drag Al Gore back onto the stage to kick around, isn’t it? Nothing more substantive to attack today? Trump wants to fire Dr. Fauci, is that not a good enough topic?
Obama recently purchased a $15 million estate on Martha’s Vineyard, a sea level property was it. Seems such a massive carbon footprint that is going to be imminently inundated by rising ocean levels would discredit his climate change spokesman status to that of a suspected denier. But then, as it has been said, “some are more equal than others.”
