‘All’ Republicans are ‘Guilty’ of Capitol Attack and Should be ‘Forced to Shut the Hell Up,’ Louisville Professor Says

by Benjamin Zeisloft

University of Louisville professor Ricky Jones wrote in an op-ed that Republicans should “be forced to shut the hell up” about the Capitol Hill attack unless they denounce their former support of  President Donald Trump.

“Republicans, you should not be allowed to speak about being shocked by President Donald Trump or the recent right-wing raid in Washington, D.C., for your words ring hollow,” wrote Jones, who is the chair of the Pan-African Studies department.

“You all should be forced to shut the hell up unless whatever you have to say begins with, ‘I’m sorry.’ You should not be allowed to condemn Trump or attempt to distance yourselves from him unless you begin with, ‘I have helped him, and I’m sorry,’” he wrote.

Because of their support for their “lord and savior” Donald Trump, Jones demanded that Republicans admit their support and apologize.

“You ALL should apologize because you all are guilty,” he added.

After quoting University of Connecticut professor Jeffrey Ogbar’s assertion that Trump is a “pathological liar” who assembled “a collection of unqualified, corrupt and odious characters” into his administration, Jones added that “Trump is a liar, racist, demagogue and madman.”

“But you Republicans, you so-called conservatives, were just fine with it,” he commented. “You loved it all. Yes, you loved him deeply, supported him unfailingly, demonized anybody who opposed him and rode shotgun with that maniac for the last four years. Don’t stop now — KEEP RIDING!”

Jones blamed Republicans for gaslighting “those racist, neo-Confederate foot soldiers for years”: “You are their benefactors. You are their champions,” he said. “You are their friends. Their acts are your responsibility and your shame.”

Campus Reform reached out to Jones for comment; this article will be updated accordingly.

I am surprised he would bring up the subject of force. Because there are a lot of things that need forced back into whatever hole they crawled out of. I think the government is woefully unprepared for the war these guys are attempting to start and it will make the war of the 1860’s pale in comparison. Heaven only knows who will survive but I’m betting on America, the land of the free and the home of the brave. Not the communist utopia that these guys are trying to bring forth on this continent. Professors like this will have to find other work. Perhaps manual labor as befits the needs of the country since we will no longer need socialist teachers.

So I have one question Sir! Who is going to force me to shut up? I don’t think you have either the ability or the backbone.

  3. You're an Embarrassment to Louisville

You can put a cheap bigot full of hate in a $3,000 suit. He still reeks of his foul poison. This professor…stinks to high Heaven.

  4. Bill

Really? How about you bring that alligator mouth to Tennessee and try to implement your idea.

I wonder what Mitch McConnell has to say about his alma mater now.

Democrats are Responsible for everything that has happened for this last year Riots Looting Burning and Murders around those Outrageous Violent Lawlessness Times. Everyone in this Congress Should Be Fired and Thrown in Jail or Prison for Non-Performance During the Last Four Years. It is For Sure That the Congress Does Not Deserve a $57,000 Dollar Raise that Was Snuck into the COVID RELIEF Bill. And to be Honest EVERYONE SHOULD SHUT UP.

      I agree with you 100%.

  7. Alan M

So are all Democrats responsible for the riots, burning, and killings in Portland, Seattle, Kenosha, Indianapolis, Nashville, Minneapolis, etc., last year, and should “shut the hell up?”

Before my grandmother died she told me, “you would be a fool to send a kid to college these days. All you need to know is that you have a product or service minus expenses equals profit.”

  9. beauknows

Idiots come in all sizes, shapes and colors. An obviously “hate-filled” man.

  10. Fireguy

Ricky- What the heck does Pan-African Studies do to enhance ones ability to hold gainful employment?

    1. 83ragtop50

Fireguy – I can answer your question.. A degree in Pan-African Studies is not going to get a real job but it very well can secure a job in the Democrat party, Washington D.C. or a professorship in a liberal university. Wait…. I correct myself for being redundant when saying a “liberal university” as virtually all, especially state sponsored, universities are liberal.

    2. William Post

You can use it to get a job teaching Pan-African Studies, of course.

  11. John Hames

I just sent the college President to email and ask if this was acceptable.

I call on the University of Louisville to fire this hate monger and racist. He hates America and he is against the Constitution.

Conservatives have hate to listen to the kind of crap and have been fire or threatened for just expressing their opinion.

This black racist needs to go as America has no place for people who act or speak this way!

  13. Ms Independent

No one spews hate more than the Democrats! A year long of violent protests and riots from antifa and BLM were on full display with the Democratic approval so don’t go there!

  14. Russ Crouch

Still MORE proof of the takeover of education by liberals. To follow this line of thinking, all Liberals are responsable for the city takeovers, and destruction in those states and cities.

  15. Deplorable Bay Stater

The fact that someone so disrespectful of others’ right of free speech is allowed to be a tenured professor does not speak very highly of the University of Louisville. While I firmly believe that free speech applies to everyone, regardless of how abhorrent their views are, when someone uses their right of free speech to advocate denying that same right to others with different views, that is where I have to draw the line. It’s been said that “your rights end at the tip of my nose”. That principle applies here: when you advocate denial of my right of free speech, I see absolutely nothing wrong with using any means necessary to silence such advocacy.

    1. Patricia Clendenin

      Well said.
If a child of mine attended any school that paid a professor to spew such nonsense, I would definitely pull her/hiim out of that University. Shame on him.
