Pete Barrett, the founder of Barrett Firearms Manufacturing, has endorsed the new “Gun Owners for Trump” coalition organized by the Republican National Committee (RNC) and former President Donald Trump.

The coalition, announced on Saturday, is composed of over 50 Olympic athletes, firearm industry leaders, and public advocates who “stand up for the Second Amendment.”

The mission statement of the coalition reads as follows:

Gun Owners for Trump unites Gun Rights advocates in our mission to protect and defend our Second Amendment rights as enumerated by the Constitution of the United States. President Trump believes that every American has a God-given right to protect themselves and their family and has proven through his actions that he will defend law-abiding gun owners. By re-affirming our support, gun owners across the country are working to deliver President Trump a second term and put a stop to Biden’s “no-compromise approach” to dismantling America’s gun laws.

Barrett Firearms is headquartered in Murfreesboro. The company was founded in 1982 when Ronnie Barrett invented the first shoulder-fired .50 cal rifle.

Barrett Firearms products are used by “civilian sport shooters, law enforcement agencies, the United States military and more than 80 State Department approved countries across the world,” according to the company’s website.

Ashley Britt, the Tennessee state director for Women for Gun Rights, has also endorsed the coalition.

Women for Gun Rights is a nationwide organization of women “committed to safeguarding the Second Amendment.”

The Gun Owners for Trump website contains resources for voters including checking voter registration information and directions on how to request an absentee ballot.

The website also details the former president’s work to preserve gun rights during his first term in office, touting, “President Trump did more for Gun Owners than any administration in history!”

“Every single Biden attack on gun owners and manufacturers will be terminated on my very first week back in office,” Trump said in a statement.

I wish there was a bit more research behind this article. ‘Gun Owners for Trump’ is very likely and organization formed more for the purpose of repairing the image of the NRA than it is to help re-elect Donald Trump. Interesting timing considering some of the comments made during the NRA’s annual meeting a few days ago.

We need Donald Trump to win this election and we need a (reformed) NRA that is transparent with its members’ money and truly engaged in the restoration of the 2nd Amendment. I simply see more behind this story that what is printed here.

ALL Federal gun laws PERTAINING TO THE PEOPLE are unconstitutional and UNLAWFUL because the government has only been delegated power over “such part of them” (the militia) as “may be EMPLOYED in its service”.(Article I, Section 8.16) In the grammatical wording of the 2nd Amendment, militia in the subordinate first clause, is the People in the main definitive clause of the sentence.

And according to the wording of the 10th Amendment , the FedGov may LAWFULLY DO NOTHING without the enumerated delegated power
