Biden’s Gun Registration Tax Could Cost Firearms Owners Billions

by Jake Dima

President-elect Joe Biden’s proposed firearm tax could cost gun owners upwards of $30 billion to keep the weapons they already possess, according to The Washington Free Beacon.

Biden plans to mandate both taxation and registration of so-called “assault weapons” and high-capacity magazines under the National Firearms Act (NFA), which requires a $200 fee per item, according to the former vice president’s campaign website. Around 20 million rifles and 150 million magazines would be taxable, leading to a total cost to U.S. gun owners of over $34 billion, according to the Free Beacon.

The president-elect plans to end the sale of “assault weapons” altogether and has proposed a ban on magazines that are capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition, his campaign website reads. Anyone already in possession of these items would either have to pay the fee or surrender the weapons to the government to stay within the bounds of the law, according to the webpage.

Americans bought a record 17 million guns so far in 2020 amid the early days of the pandemic and widespread unrest that followed the death of George Floyd, The Guardian reported in late October.

Support for more stringent gun control has plummeted during the buying surge to the lowest level since 2016, according to a Monday Gallup poll. Fifty-seven percent of respondents indicated that they wanted to see more gun laws in the U.S., which is down sharply from the 64% of people who said the same in 2019.

How is it fair and rational to mandate such taxes on lawful gun owners, when the people who inflict the most gun violence are the thugs who possess guns illegally? Are we to believe that these fine citizens will step up and pay this imposed tax on the AR-15’s they have stolen are purchased illegally?

“A system of licensing and registration is the perfect device to deny gun ownership to the bourgeoisie (middle class).”

Of course, he and the ruling class would have all the weapons and more they want to deny us for their armed protection. “Wickedness in high places” always wants to take from others what they have and keep for themselves.

Just do not comply. Do not send them a dime. Come and take China Joe. Why is it with each passing election cycle, we keep loosing our Liberty?

The Constitution gives the Federal Government NO delegated powers for any such gun laws PERTAINING TO THE PEOPLE. According to the clear wording of the 10th Amendment, the Federal Government may lawfully DO NOTHING without enumerated dlegated powers. The 2nd Amendment reiterates this IN REFERENCE TO Article I, Section 8:15-16. Reading it in its grammatical sentence structure, “militia” and “the People” are synonymous. And the Federal Government only has delegated power “for governing SUCH PART OF THEM (the militia) as may EMPLOYED IN ITS SERVICE”. Therefore ALL Federal gun laws pertains to the People are UNCONSTITUTIONAL and ILLEGAL!

    To wit:

“A law repugnant to the Constitution is void. An act of Congress repugnant to the Constitution cannot become a law. The Constitution supersedes all other laws and the individual’s rights shall be liberally enforced in favor of him, the clearly intended and expressly designated beneficiary.” –Marbury v. Madison, 5 U.S. 137 (1803)

“An unconstitutional law is void and is as no law. An offense created by it is not crime. A conviction under it is not merely erroneous but isillegal and void and cannot be used as a legal cause of imprisonment.” – Ex parte Siebold, 100 U.S. 371 (1879)

“An unconstitutional act is not law. It confers no rights; it imposes no duties; affords no protection; it creates no office. It is, in legal contemplation, as inoperative as though it had never been passed.” – Norton v. Shelby County, 118 U.S. 425 (1886)

“Where rights secured by the Constitution are involved, there can be no rule-making or legislation which would abrogate them.” –Miranda v. Arizona, 384 U.S. 436 (1966

Tell me skippy (Biden) how you’re going to force the thugs, crooks & thieves to “register” their weapons. Once again the Donkey’s want to target the law abiding legal gun owners of this country. Leave law abiding gun owners alone.
You want less gun violence, go after the thugs with maximum effort.
Chicago & Baltimore would be a good place to start.

“…target the law abiding gun owners of this country.”

While his VP candidate helped raise money to bail violent rioters out of jail and plans to allow our country to undergo invasion with impunity by illegal aliens.

      Now why is that?

As all of history conclusively demonstrates:

ONLY YOUR ENEMY WANTS YOU DISARMED
