Commentary: Free Judge Jeanine

by George Rasley

Judge Jeanine Pirro’s show, “Justice with Judge Jeanine” did not air Saturday on Fox after the Judge, during her March 9 show, questioned whether Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Muslim who wears a hajib adheres to Shariah law, a set of Muslim doctrines that are antithetical to the Constitution of the United States.

“Think about it: Omar wears a hijab… Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Shariah law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?” Pirro said of Ilhan, who was born in Somalia.

In a statement, reported by Mark Moore of the New York Post, Fox News criticized her for the comment. “We strongly condemn Jeanine Pirro’s comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar,” the network said. “They do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly.”

Moore reports Pirro dismissed claims that her comments about Omar were meant to paint the congresswoman as being “un-American.”

“My intention was to ask a question and start a debate, but of course because one is Muslim does not mean you don’t support the Constitution. I invite Rep. Omar to come on my show any time to discuss all of the important issues facing America today,” Pirro said.

You can watch Judge Jeanine’s comments through this Twitter link:

From our perspective Judge Jeanine was absolutely right to ask the question and to provoke the conversation, because even the most cursory reading of the Quran and the literature that codifies Shariah reveals traditions, laws and cultural mores that are so contrary to those codified in the American Constitution that they are almost its direct opposite.

As I pointed out in a column for Breitbart, Trump Channels Reagan in The Battle with Radical Islam:

Islam as it is practiced by millions of Muslims who believe in the supremacy of Islamic law – Shariah – is not a religion as those of us raised in the traditions of the Western Enlightenment would define the term.

It is a totalitarian political system that seeks to regulate the minutest details of the lives of its adherents, while bestowing absolute power upon its self-appointed leaders. Shariah-compliant Islam is, in the words of Daniel Pipes, “transformed from a personal faith into a ruling system that knows no constraints.”

The hijab is one of the most obvious and unsubtle ways a Muslim woman signals her submission to Shariah and its anti-constitutional constraints on free speech, freedom of thought and religion.

It also seems that Fox’s political correctness only runs way. As our friend Jim Hoft reported for the Gateway Pundit, FOX News released the statement after FOX producer Hufsa Kamal, a Pakistani-American, tweeted her disgust against Judge Jeanine Pirro on Sunday.

Kamal, the Muslim FOX News producer who called out Judge Jeanine has a Twitter account littered with vile Attacks on conservatives. Hoft’s article leads us to tweets showing that Kamal, who is a producer for Bret Baier on FOX News, has a long history of vicious attacks on conservatives. Hufsa has attacked our conservative friends Michelle Malkin, Candace Owens, Dan Bongino and Charlie Kirk among others.

On Sunday morning President Trump got into the controversy by tweeting, “Bring back @JudgeJeanine Pirro. The Radical Left Democrats, working closely with their beloved partner, the Fake News Media, is using every trick in the book to SILENCE a majority of our Country. They have all out campaigns against @FoxNews hosts who are doing too well.”

CNBC’s Jacob Pramuk reports President Trump went on to write that Fox should “stop working soooo hard on being politically correct, which will only bring you down, and continue to fight for our Country.” Trump added that the network should “keep fighting” for Pirro and Tucker Carlson, whose show has lost advertisers following the release of comments from years old radio interviews that critics considered misogynistic.

“They can’t beat you, you can only beat yourselves!” Trump said of Fox.

What President Trump said of Fox News should also be said of Western Civilization and constitutional liberty: Islam and its totalitarian doctrines can not defeat the values and civilization of the Western Enlightenment unless we allow it to defeat us. We can only beat ourselves by not asking the questions and letting the world know what Islam and Shariah are all about.

We urge CHQ readers and friends to contact Fox News through social media to demand the immediate return of Judge Jeanine Piro by tweeting the main @foxnews account or posting on the Fox News Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/FoxNews with the hashtags #FreeJudgeJeanine and #JudgeJeanineWasRight.

Doesn’t Fox have an email or a phone number? Facebook or Twitter may censor pro Jeanine Pirro messages. I use neither fascist platforms.
