Outgoing Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) took to Twitter on Saturday in an effort to reach out to Democrats in his ongoing efforts to stymie the Trump administration from achieving its goals when it comes to trade.
I am working with like-minded Republican senators on ways to push back on the president using authorities in ways never intended and that are damaging to our country and our allies. Will Democrats join us?

Rather than support Trump in what many see as little more than a deal-making process to improve America’s position in trade agreements around the world, Corker appears to be hyperventilating like a Democrat determined to damage and undermine Trump at every turn.
He was referencing a tweet to a Wall Street Journal story with his childish plea.
These two stories feel like something I could have read in a local Caracas newspaper last week, not in America. Venezuela, here WE come! https://t.co/dma8ZdqbrI https://t.co/J3h74DswmM

Readers may remember it was just this week that attendees booed when President Trump mentioned Corker’s name at a rally in Tennessee.
President Trump’s mention of Sen. Bob Corker (R) at a rally in the senator’s home state of Tennessee on Tuesday night drew boos from those packed into the auditorium.President
Both Corker and Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) have been critical of Trump’s bold moves on trade, before giving the president time to fully achieve what many Americans elected him to do, cut better deals for America workers, versus simply selling out to multi-national corporations whop buy and sell Senators like Corker for what amounts to a dime a dozen on Capitol Hill, as the Chattanooga Times Free Press reported:
NASHVILLE — Republican U.S. Sens. Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker on Thursday sharply criticized President Donald Trump’s plan to impose new steel and aluminum tariffs on Mexico, Canada and the European Union at midnight.
Alexander called the move a “big mistake” while Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Corker charged it “represents an abuse of authority intended only for national security.”
With many Americans and certainly Tennesseans so supportive of Trump and still seeking change, in the end, Corker’s anti-Trump posturing may serve to highlight the need to elected a Trump backer like Rep. Marsha Blackburn, versus what amounts to another Bob Corker, only worse, in Democrat Phil Bredesen as the Senate race plays out in the fall.
Isn’t it a bit embarrassing to have to admit that Corker is a Tennessean? There’s no way he can claim to be a Republican!
Corker is a traitor! It is time to kick him our of Tennessee.
Corker and Alexander, i think they both have something in their head growing and its not their brain. They r the SWAMP. Both have been useless to Tennessee and should have been voted out years ago.
Why haven’t we recalled Corker already?
Corker is a two-bit turncoat, snake-in-the-grass politician and the sooner he’s out of Washington, the better.
