Medical personnel in Tennessee had 110 confirmed COVID-19 cases in their respective intensive care units on Tuesday of this week, but by Wednesday those numbers dropped to 79.
This, according to data the Tennessee Department of Health provided The Tennessee Star this week.
The same data showed hospitals throughout the state admitted, in total, 305 patients, including those in ICU, on Tuesday. According to the same data, hospitals admitted fewer patients overall on Wednesday, 218.
TDH spokesman Bill Christian, in an email, however, said 89 hospitals reported their respective data on Tuesday, whereas 76 hospitals reported on Wednesday.
According to The COVID Tracking Project on Friday, Â Tennessee had 4,862 confirmed COVID-19 cases. COVID-19 had killed exactly 98 state residents as of Friday night.
But on the flip side, exact 57,937 Tennesseans tested negative for the virus as of Friday, The COVID Tracking Project reported.
