On Wednesday’s Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed all-star panelist Crom Carmichael to the newsmakers line.
During the second hour, Carmichael discussed how despicable the Democrats have become by claiming to be for the people when they are only concerned about government which was evident in the proposed stimulus package. He later discussed his amazement that after 27 Democratic candidates Joe Biden was the only one that the Democratic party could put forth.
Leahy: I am joined now by our good friend and the original all-star panelist, Crom Carmichael. Good morning Crom.
Carmichael: Micheal, how are you, sir?
Leahy: Well, I am looking at the president and he’s saying let’s try and get things back on the road by April 12th. Not all Democrats like that. What’s your take on this Crom?
Carmichael: Well, you have to get back work at some point. It’s interesting I’ve been following this trying to follow this now on an industry by industry basis. Let me just give you an example. The restaurant industry for all intensive purposes is completely shut down.
It’s the largest employer of any industry in the country. It has 15 million. 15 million workers in the restaurant industry. As of right now a large large percentage of that 15 million have been laid off. And so it’s very important that this bill that’s in Congress where the Democrats and this is most unfortunate. It’s unfortunate. It’s depressing but it’s not surprising.
The Democrats are trying to add a whole bunch of things to this bill because they think it’s a necessary bill and trying to add a bunch of things that they couldn’t possibly get passed on their own. And Republicans are rightfully resisting that. And affect is that the Democrats are really really hurting the very people that they claim so much to want to help. And this goes back to what I’ve said earlier.
The Democratic party has become the party of government. That’s all it cares about. Is adding regulations. Adding costs. Forcing the private sector to do their bidding. And so when somebody, especially in Congress, says I’m here to serve the people it’s just a bunch of BS on the Democrats side.
They are there to serve the government. It just is so so sad that it’s not so completely apparent. But the restaurant industry. You have 15Â million workers. You have a large percentage that are laid off. They need cash and they need it right away.
I think that there will be a bill that will be signed today that will do that. And all these other political items that the Democrats are trying to get, I don’t think they’ll get. But they’ll get some things like insurance and things like that. Which is reasonable in a negotiation like that.
Because we’re dealing with unemployment. So if the negotiations are instead of 90 days unemployment it’s 180 days that’s a fair trade. But some of these other things are ridiculous. Then you see things like the governor of Pennsylvania trying to show how strong he is by shutting down the gun stores. He’s allowing the pot stores to stay open.
This is how ridiculous it is. He allows the pot stores to stay open in Pennsylvania calling them essential. But for people that want to have a firearm for the increase and amount of violence in Pennsylvania, the governor shuts down the gun stores. Essentially saying you don’t have a right to protect your family but you do have a right to smoke all the pot you want to.
Leahy: It’s kind of crazy. I think Crom breaking news, I think Breitbart is reporting that he’s reversed his stance on the gun stores after a lot of pressure.
Carmichael: That’s what I was getting ready to say. But even then what he’s done is he’s put a great many restrictions on the gun stores. He still trying to show what a great Democrat he is because you can’t be a good Democrat unless you against all guns. Doesn’t matter what they say.
They say they’re against assault weapons but then they define an assault weapon as anything that has more than one bullet. But the governor has semi-reversed himself on this. But it also shows you where his heart was and where his mind was originally.
He’s only changing because of political pressure. But compare the fact that he wants to leave pot stores open and call pot stores essential. (Leahy laughs) And protecting your family is a non-essential thing. It’s just mind-bogglingly sad.
Leahy: I sent you a clip yesterday of Joe Biden appearing via Skype I guess it was from his own on The View. I tried to make sense of what he was saying and it was almost unintelligible. Did you watch that clip?
Carmichael: Yes. Joe is unintelligible. And he’s unintelligent. He may at some point of had a good mind. He really may have. As you know of all the people in Washington he is the one that I think is the most despicable because of what he did to Clarence Thomas. Till he asks for forgiveness from Clarence Thomas as far as I’m concerned will be even more despicable more than Nancy Pelosi.
Leahy: That’s pretty despicable Crom.
Carmichael: He’s incredibly despicable. It shows you what his heart really is. In his heart, he is a very very mean person. Very mean. And now he is having mental problems. And the Democrats know it.
And so he’s now trying to act presidential. If he talks more than five minutes he starts wandering off into some pasture somewhere. But I saw the clip and the reason you can’t make any sense of it is that it doesn’t make any sense.
Leahy: The headline was again, I’m just going to say the sentence that he said OK? He said we have to take care of the cure that will make the problem worse no matter what. (Chuckles)
Carmichael: There you go.
Leahy: (Chuckles) Thank you.
Carmichael: That’s like when he says that the Democrats care about truth, not facts.
Leahy: Right.
Carmichael: He said that one time. The guy’s elevator doesn’t go to the top. And that’s sad for him. But for a country and for him to be the nominee is an amazing thing. Think about it, Michael. I think they had as many as 27 candidates. I think it was 27 total by the time when Bloomberg got in. 27. And here’s where we are with a guy that can’t think.
Leahy: Speaking of Bloomberg, did you see this? His campaign staffers are suing him. He fired them all. No healthcare. He had promised his campaign staffers jobs for the full year no matter what. He’s worth by the way 62 billion dollars. He spent 500 million maybe a billion on his own campaign.
He had promised all his campaign workers jobs for the full year no matter what. But he went back on his promise. Fired them. Took away their health insurance and said oh by the way you’ve been exposed to the coronavirus. (Chuckles) What a nice guy.
Carmichael: Well, he deserves to be sued. But that also shows you why Bloomberg is so comfortable in the Democrat party. And it shows you what he’s like as a person. And it’s so interesting how the Democrats are truly the opposite of whatever they claim Trump is that’s bad.
They are going to criticize Trump. Whatever they are criticizing they are the ones who are actually doing it. You can just count on it. And so Bloomberg is being sued rightfully so. And this is not a good time to be a multi-billionaire and break your word to average citizens.
Especially when you made a promise to them which causes them to leave their current jobs to join your campaign based on your promise. Then you renege on the promise. That’s not a good combination for him.
Leahy: No, it’s very bad.
Carmichael: And he’ll end up paying. Now the question is whether or not he ends up having to pay damages. And he certainly can afford them.
Leahy: Its a bad business choice on his part too. He’s got 62 billion dollars. Just honor your promise and have them do other stuff that’s good for the country like helping out in the coronavirus situation. But then again, that would make too much sense.
Crom lets talk about this a little bit. I’m curious to see what you think. The country now really isn’t focused on the 2020 presidential election. Everyone wants to know when will this be over. Will it be over in April? Will it be May? Its all focused on that.
Meanwhile, the Democrats are going forward. The electoral process is going forward. It looks like they are trying to hold their convention in Milwaukee in July.
(A) Do you think they will nominate Joe Biden? and
(B) What will the campaign be like after that?
Carmichael: (Laughs) Well all of this really gets down to whether the coronavirus dies in the heat? Like another flu. If it doesn’t die in the heat then my guess is that we as a country are going to have to learn to live or frankly have people die.
Leahy: Yes.
Carmichael: Because you can’t have a country where 300 million people or 250 million people do nothing and the only people working are delivering food and providing healthcare.

That is nice, that the CV Relief senate bill was approved 100%.
“Now that the senate has passed the bill it will head over to The House of Representatives for final passage, before heading to the President’s desk.” Yes, I finally found a news media outlet (not MSM) that gave the current status.
If Pelosi’s Mad House of Representatives derails the bill, as expected, then the POTUS can execute the Senate intent through executive action under his current War Powers Act.
How does it feel to be made totally irrelevant and dance to the tune of the AOC Gang, Madam Speaker?
The Republicans (and corporate Democrats) are the party of the CEO’s and brass: that’s all they cares about!
