Manny Sethi Releases New Ad Addressing What He Calls Liberal Hypocrisy on COVID-19 Restrictions

U.S. Senate candidate Manny Sethi released a new ad Thursday entitled “Leftwing Lockdown.”

“For the last three months liberals said social distancing is so important, you deserve to be arrested if you go out to eat or go to church with too many people. They destroyed small businesses and ruined lives,” Sethi said in an emailed press release.

“But now, apparently, protesting next to thousands of people is fine, as long as it’s for a woke liberal cause. It’s total hypocrisy.”

Sethi’s ad says the following:

“Across America, opening a business is a crime. Burning a business is not?

Dinner with neighbors gets you arrested. Beating neighbors does not?

Church with too many people is a crime. Thousands of people protesting is not?

Got a problem with any of that? You’re a racist! And you want to kill Grandma.

Had enough? Me too. That’s why I’m running.

Send me to the Senate.

I’m Dr. Manny Sethi, and I approve this message.”

People may view the ad on Sethi’s campaign Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages or by clicking here.

As The Tennessee Star reported this week, former Congressman Ed Bryant on Monday endorsed U.S. Senate candidate Manny Sethi, who is running to replace the retiring U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN).

Bryant represented Tennessee in the U.S. House of Representatives and served as a magistrate judge for the Western District of Tennessee.

Bryant explained his reasons in Sethi’s press release.

“It matters who leads, who represents us and our values. We need a senator who won’t forget about West Tennessee,” Bryant said.

“We have the opportunity to send a real conservative to Washington, someone who will stand up for all of Tennessee, which is why I’m endorsing Dr. Manny for Senate.”

Sethi said Bryant’s endorsement humbled him.

“From his time as U.S. Attorney, to his service in the Congress, to his decade in the judiciary, he has always stood for what is good and decent about our state,” Sethi said in the press release.

“Ed Bryant has always been a conservative fighter, standing up for life, small business, and our Second Amendment rights, and has represented the best of West Tennessee.”

Sethi, on his Facebook page Monday, posted a photo of that morning’s Madison County GOP meeting where Bryant endorsed him.

As The Star reported last week, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) endorsed Sethi.

My wife observed, and I’m surprised that I missed it, every TV ad that Dr. Manny Sethi has, it is him speaking to us. His main opponent, Hagerty, has yet to actually talk to us, except to endorse the ad. Not that he’s a bad guy, but I like to hear from a candidate in their own words. I like what Dr. Sethi says.

The Democratic Socialists are the party of hypocrisy. Do as I say, not as I do. Whatever they scream the loudest about and claim the Right is engaged in, they are actually doing it themselves. For example Biden proclaims Trump of cheat and win the election. It’s common knowledge that the donks let illegal aliens vote, want to ban voter ID laws, and want mail in ballots making it easy to “ballot harvest”. They are so dishonest they should be arrested, oh, that’s right, after Trump is reelected they will be arrested.

Right, Steve Allen. And in so doing, they are following the counsel of their leftist guru, Saul Alinsky–and Karl Marx:

“Accuse the victim of what you do.” –Karl Marx

“Accuse your opponent of what only you are doing, as you are doing it, to create confusion, cloud the issue, and inoculate voters against any evidence of your guilt.” –Saul Alinsky
