The Middle Tennessee Chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) held a second rally in support of the terrorist group Hamas on Sunday in front of the Nashville Metropolitan Courthouse. About 300 vocal supporters attended, chanting slogans indicating support for a “Free Palestine” and the ouster of Israel from the region.
“Hey-hey, ho-ho, the occupation has got to go,” they group said as they marched in front of the Davidson county courthouse complex in the early evening hours.
The far-Left organization held a “protest art making night” and provided art supplies on Saturday for individuals to craft flags, signs, and placards to use during Sunday’s rally.
Sunday’s gathering, dubbed “All Out For Palestine,” comes one week after Middle Tennessee DSA led hundreds of protesters in marching to the Legislative Plaza from 800 Broadway Street in Music City in support of the terrorist group, as previously reported by The Tennessee Star.
Following Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel October 7, Middle Tennessee DSA joined a long list of leftist organizations in pledging its support for the group and condemning Israel’s right to defend itself amid the attack.
In a statement released October 12, Middle Tennessee DSA pledged, “We stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people.”
“Palestinians have been subjugated and suffered under settler rule for over 100 years,” the organization added in its statement. “Palestinians have been living under apartheid for decades. Palestinians have been forcibly removed from their lands, placed in open air prisons, had their homes stolen, had their drinking water poisoned and shut off, and been murdered in the streets for merely existing. There has been little to no response from our own government. Our massive military funding continues, even as Israeli government officials flout the international laws our government claims to uphold. “
“Our chapter has always stood resolutely on the side of Palestinians and Palestinian rights both here in Middle Tennessee and in Palestine. We stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people. We urge all of our comrades and our followers to join in solidarity efforts, marches, and protests that are happening across the country now,” the organization concluded.

This rally and vigil was in support of the people of Palestine. You willfully conflating this with support of a terrorist group is irresponsible and incorrect.
