OFF THE RECORD: Can Corker Heal the Rift with President Trump?

Senator Bob Corker is apparently open to the idea of running for reelection, despite previously announcing that he would not run in 2018.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has reportedly advised Corker that the idea is a “non-starter” unless he can get President Trump on board.

Is it possible for Corker and Trump to “kiss and make up” at this point? A quick review of some of the most blatantly anti-Trump statements that Corker would have to overcome make it clear that he would not only have to “eat some crow” – he would have to devour a whole flock! Corker likely doesn’t have the stomach to do so. And some may recall that Trump dined with his nemesis Mitt Romney while dangling a prospective Secretary of State appointment – and then left Romney dangling before turning to Rex Tillerson.

If this video compilation of the “Best of Corker Bashing Trump” becomes “Must See TV” at the White House it is more likely that President Trump will have a warm and friendly reconciliation with Rocket Man before he does so with Liddle Bob.

Little Bobby might as well go ahead and just sit out this time, he’s finished. No Republicans going to vote for his stinking ass anyway.

If he runs I wont vote for the SOB. Marsha is my choice!

The question is can Corker heal the rift with Tennesseans? Spoiler Alert: He can’t.

I only voted for him the first time around because I couldn’t stand a member of the Ford Crime Family getting into the Senate. Hell, they’re threatening to kill FBI agents on camera when they’re just in the state house. So Li’l Bob already had the bar lowered for him.

Remember Harold Ford, Jr. wearing camo caps and posing in front of the confederate flag hat while claiming Corker was the second coming of the KKK because he heard bongo drums in a campaign ad? Good times.

Yes, the bar for Li’l Bob to get in on the Incumbent Protection Racket was low indeed.

However, after his first go-round it was clear that he was a squish and a center-left Democrat like Lamar Alexander.

I guess he feels like if he stays in the Senate then he has more control over people looking into the great financial success he’s somehow managed on a fixed income. This is just extortion at this point. He knows another squish in Blackburn wants his spot but “MSNBC guest show panelist” just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Corker’s bashing of Trump was the last straw. We don’t need a representative with this attitude. Along with this and his questionable financial activities while on the taxpayer’s dime makes him unelectable in my opinion.

Not to mention his “moderate” (aka liberal) leanings. Just a poor little rich guy who just had to dabble in politics. What else are you going to do with all of that family money?

I don’t give a flip if Corker kisses up to the President or not. It is time for Bobby to crawl back under his rock.
