The Ohio Republican Party congratulated former President Donald Trump on his overwhelming victory on Super Tuesday.
Trump dominated 14 out of 15 state primaries on Tuesday, leaving competitor Nikki Haley with no choice but to drop out of the race which paves the way for the former president to become the Republican nominee.

“While we appreciate the many candidates who presented their visions across the United States, it was clear from the beginning that Republican voters are fully committed to fighting for President Trump,” Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex Triantafilou said in a statement. “Ohio Republicans look forward to working alongside Trump to end Joe Biden’s disastrous presidency and deliver an ‘America First’ agenda that will benefit families, workers, and small businesses across the Buckeye State.”
The Ohio Republican Party officially endorsed the former president on December 1, 2023, saying at the time Trump has “proven time and time again that despite the unhinged and relentless attacks from the radical left, he will never give up on fighting for Ohio’s workers, businesses, and families.”
Last week, the state’s Republican Party applauded the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to restore Trump’s name on the Colorado ballot, ruling that states lack the authority to enforce Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to regulate federal candidates, especially those running for president.
“The Supreme Court’s 9-0 unanimous decision to keep President Trump on the ballot is a major win for American democracy and the rule of law. The American people decide who our president is, and this decision upholds that most basic principle,” the Ohio Republican Party said last week.
Ohio’s primary election will take place on March 19. Polls are open on election day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The primary ballot will include local candidates and statewide presidential, U.S. Senate, and Supreme Court candidates.
Absentee mail-in ballots must be requested by March 12 and postmarked before Election Day.
Early in-person voting includes the last two Saturdays and the last Sunday before Election Day.
