Pro-Life PAC Launches Digital Ad Campaign Supporting Kathy Barnette in Pennsylvania Republican U.S. Senate Primary

The national pro-life Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) and its affiliate Women Speak Out PAC announced Friday the launch of a digital ad campaign to support Kathy Barnette in the Pennsylvania Republican U.S. Senate primary race.

The campaign is part of an overall $2.3 million the pro-life groups will spend to defeat presumed Democrat nominee John Fetterman, current Pennsylvania lieutenant governor, who recently referred to abortion as a “sacred” right.

“Kathy Barnette is a courageous advocate for life with a deeply compelling personal story,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser in a statement announcing the ad buy.

The pro-life leader said Fetterman is allied with the “Biden-Schumer Democrats who are pushing to impose abortion on demand up to birth nationwide.”

Fetterman recently tweeted his support for the Democrats’ failed bill that would have eradicated pro-life state laws and forced doctors to perform abortions even though the procedure to end the life of an unborn child violates their faith beliefs.

His campaign website touts as well:

He supported legalizing marijuana before it was popular, officiated a same-sex marriage before it was legal, and pushed for single payer healthcare long before it was mainstream.

“Fetterman can’t name a single limit on abortion he supports and even calls abortion ‘sacred,’” Dannenfelser added. “At a pivotal time for life, Pennsylvanians deserve a senator who will fight for their values and not betray them to the abortion lobby. That’s why we’re excited to support a pro-life champion like Kathy Barnette and urge Republican primary voters to support her next week.”

“Our ground team has already visited more than 200,000 homes of Keystone State voters to educate them about the stakes of this year’s elections and the importance of voting pro-life,” she said.

Grassroots Catholic advocacy organization CatholicVote and the Club for Growth have also endorsed Barnette over the Donald Trump-endorsed candidate Mehmet Oz and David McCormick, a former CEO of Bridgewater Associates investment management firm.

A Trafalgar Group poll conducted last week found a very tight GOP primary race with Oz narrowly leading at 24.5 percent over Barnette’s 23.2 percent, and McCormick’s 21.6 percent.

The Pennsylvania primary election day is Tuesday.
