RedDOT Corporation Announces $18 Million Expansion Project in Memphis

RedDOT Corporation officials announced Tuesday that the company will invest $18 million to expand its manufacturing and distribution operations in Memphis.

RedDOT was founded in Seattle, Washington, in 1965 and operates facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia. The company manufactures premium mobile HVAC units and components for heavy-duty commercial and military vehicles. RedDOT ships to hundreds of aftermarket distributors and OE customers around the globe, spanning the construction, agriculture, defense, and trucking industries.

The company originally established its operations in Memphis in 2021 after purchasing and renovating an existing manufacturing and distribution center with 25 acres and nearly 300,000 square feet.

The company’s recently-announced expansion project will add approximately 175,000 square feet of space to its existing facility to “help meet increased customer demand and market growth in the Southeastern U.S.”

“We are excited about the opportunity to continue our growth trajectory in the state of Tennessee and, in particular, Shelby County. RedDOT has invested in new capabilities and additional capacity in our new facility where we will better serve our global customer base. The State of Tennessee offers a perfect combination of location, business support and a skilled workforce to help RedDot grow,” RedDOT Corporation COO Mike Bruneau said in a statement.

Once operational, the company’s expansion project is expected to bring 50 new jobs to Shelby County, bringing the total number of Tennesseans employed by RedDOT to approximately 100, according to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD).

“We thank RedDOT for its $18 million investment in Tennessee and creation of 50 new jobs,” TNECD Commissioner Stuart McWhorter said in a statement. “I know the company will continue to experience great success in Memphis, and I look forward to the positive impact this project will have on the residents of Shelby County.”
