On Friday, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel announced Ohio’s state buildout for “Bank Your Vote” and launched the State Leadership Team.
The RNC launched “Bank Your Vote,” a nationwide campaign focused on maximizing pre-Election Day voting in early June of this year.
According to an advanced press release exclusively sent to The Ohio Star, McDaniel says that it is crucial that as many Republicans bank pre-Election Day votes as possible in order to defeat President Joe Biden and U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) in the 2024 election.
“To beat Joe Biden and Democrats like Sherrod Brown in 2024, we must ensure that Republicans bank as many pre-Election Day votes as possible. The RNC is proud to work with Republican leaders across the state to encourage voters to Bank Your Vote and deliver Republican victories up and down the ballot next November,” McDaniel said.
Prior to the 2024 election, the Bank Your Vote operation is utilizing the RNC’s entire infrastructure, the Ohio Republican Party, and its historical investments in the data-driven ground game to encourage, inform, and activate Republican voters on the best times, places, and methods for securing their votes early.
In addition to staff and the RNC statewide volunteer network, Ohio will now have a state-specific voter resource page at OH.BankYourVote.com. The RNC said that this resource page will include important dates, information on pre-election voting procedures, links to state government websites where voters may learn more about early voting, and alternatives for voters to sign up to receive digital reminders about pre-election voting options.
The RNC said in the press release to The Star that it’s critical for Republicans to improve their overall number of pre-Election Day voters to ultimately secure victory in 2024.
“Building on our absentee return rate, early in-person voting, and ballot harvesting success in 2022, Republicans must now improve on our overall number of pre-Election Day voters to ultimately secure victory in 2024. A crucial part of getting Republican voters to become pre-Election Day voters will be ensuring voter confidence in elections through our continued Protect Your Vote efforts. In 2022, we had over 680 Poll Watcher shifts in the midterm election. Thanks to common-sense election safeguards and successful collaboration between the RNC and Ohio Republicans, the Buckeye State has emerged as a national example of well-run elections,” The RNC said
According to Ohio GOP Chairman Alex Triantafilou, the Ohio GOP is partnering with the RNC on “Bank Your Vote” to reach more voters than ever before.
“In 2022, Ohio Republicans swept all nine statewide elected offices. Now, to win big in 2024, we must reach more voters than ever before, which is exactly why we are partnering with the RNC on ‘Bank Your Vote.’ Remember—it’s okay to vote that way!” Triantafilou said.
The ‘Bank Your Vote’ Ohio leadership team is comprised of Republican elected officials and grassroots leaders from across the state.
Ohio leadership includes U.S. Senator JD Vance (R-OH), State Auditor Keith Faber, State Treasurer Robert Sprague, State Senator Rob McColley (R-Napoleon), Jackson County Commissioner Donnie Willis, Akron Clerk of Courts Debbie Walsh, State Senator Theresa Gavarone (R-Bowling Green), Triantafilou, former Ohio Republican Party Chairman Jane Timken, Geauga County GOP Chair Nancy McArthur, and Lt. Governor Jon Husted.
