Roger Simon, the co-founder of PJ Media and author of the newly-launched Substack “American Refugees,” said 100 percent of Jewish voters should support former President Donald Trump in this year’s presidential election.
Simon called Trump “the best president for Israel ever.”
Simon commented on last week’s episode on The Michael Patrick Leahy Show, one day after watching Trump’s speech at the Israeli American Council Summit in Washington, D.C. on Thursday.
During the speech, Trump noted how in 2016, he received 24 percent of the Jewish vote, and in 2020, he received 29 percent of the vote.
Trump said that he is “upset” that he is currently polling at approximately 40 percent among Jewish voters, adding, “That means 60 percent of Jewish people are going to vote for Kamala…Honestly, you ought to have your heads examined. You ought to have your heads examined.”
Simon said he understood why Trump’s tone during the speech was “tough,” given the work Trump’s first administration did to further the United States’ allyship with Israel compared to the Biden-Harris administration’s record.
“[Trump] moved the embassy to Jerusalem. He gave them the Golan Heights. He initiated the Abraham Accords, which were a remarkable move for peace,” Simon explained.
“He was annoyed. You can see he was annoyed,” Simon added.
Simon said that as a Jewish man himself, he is “appalled” by the Jewish voters who continue to cast their votes for the Democratic Party, adding that the entire Jewish vote “should be” behind Trump.
“[Trump] said, ‘I can’t understand why it’s not 100.’ And I can’t either. I understand exactly what he’s talking about…As a Jewish man, I’m appalled by these people. They are living in the deep, dark past,” Simon said.
