Sticker Mule CEO Anthony Constantino said he is “strongly considering” running for New York’s 21st congressional district, which is currently held by U.S. Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY-21) who was tapped by president-elect Donald Trump to serve in his cabinet.
“I am strongly considering running for the NY-21 Congressional seat,” Constantino wrote in an X post late Monday.
Stefanik, who has represented New York’s 21st congressional district since 2015, was nominated by Trump to serve in his cabinet as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.
Trump, in his announcement, called Stefanik a “strong and very smart America First fighter” who will deliver “Peace through Strength and America First National Security policies.”
Stefanik said she would accept the role, saying in a statement, “During my conversation with President Trump, I shared how deeply humbled I am to accept his nomination and that I look forward to earning the support of my colleagues in the United States Senate.”
“I stand ready to advance President Donald J. Trump’s restoration of America First peace through strength leadership on the world stage on Day One at the United Nations,” Stefanik added.

With Stefanik’s acceptance of Trump’s nomination to serve in his cabinet, the congresswoman must file a formal notice of vacancy from her congressional seat in order for a special election to be called by the New York governor to fill the seat.
Constantino, the co-founder or Sticker Mule which is headquartered in Amsterdam, New York, was an outspoken supporter of Trump during the most recent election cycle.
In October, Constantino won a legal battle brought by Amsterdam’s Democratic mayor to display a 100-foot “Vote for Trump” on top of a building owned by Sticker Mule.
Before that, Constantino and his company launched a political action committee (PAC) in support of Trump which gave away 500,000 packs of pro-Trump stickers.
Other Republicans rumored to be mulling bids for Stefanik’s congressional seat include New York State Assemblyman Chris Tague and Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin, according to reports.
