Tennessee Congressional Delegation Applauds Supreme Court’s Ruling in Trump Ballot Case

Members of the Tennessee Congressional Delegation applauded the U.S. Supreme Court’s unanimous ruling in Trump v. Anderson, which restores former President Donald Trump’s name on the Colorado ballot.

The Supreme Court ruled that states do not have the authority to enforce Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to regulate federal candidates, especially those running for president.

Tennessee U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), who was one of the only senators present outside of the Supreme Court last month as it heard oral arguments in the case, applauded the court’s ruling on Monday, adding that Trump is the “choice of the American people.”

U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) also cheered the ruling, calling it a “victory for American democracy.”

“The American people should decide who serves as their President,” Hagerty added.

U.S. Representative Diana Harshbarger (R-TN-01) declared “the voices of millions of Americans will not be silenced by liberal judicial activists,” while U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN-03) called the ruling a “major win for the rule of law and the integrity of our Constitution,” adding, “The American People decide our elections – not unaccountable government bureaucrats.”

U.S. Rep. Scott DesJarlais (R-TN-04) also said the case to bar the former president from having ballot access was a “clear example of political weaponization,” adding, “Sadly, this should never have even needed to reach the highest court in the land.”

Calling the effort to deny Trump ballot access as a tactic comparable to that of which would be taken by “third-world dictators,” U.S. Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN-05) commended the Supreme Court for exposing the “Leftist scheme for what it is—a concerted effort to weaponize our judicial system against a presidential candidate.”

U.S. Rep. John Rose (R-TN-06) also weighed in on Monday’s ruling, saying, “Hopefully, this is the last time leftists attempt to remove him from the ballot and silence any American and their right to choose their representatives.”

U.S. Rep. David Kustoff (R-TN-08) also commented on the ruling, calling it a “victory for all Americans.”

“The American people should be allowed to decide who leads our country. We choose our leaders at the ballot box, not in state capitols or state supreme courts,” Kustoff added.

Thank goodness our Constitutional form of government still functions as it was designed. The fact that all nine justices agreed on the decision says volumes about the blatant disregard liberals have for our Constitutional form of government.

Hey leftist democrats and liberals, your anti-American behavior is not going to be accepted by Americans. You are on a sinking ship and your captain is a bumbling, senile, old fool, that couldn’t find his way our of a closet. No amount of cheating in November is going to keep you in power.
