Tennessee hospitals admitted far more brand new COVID-19 cases Tuesday than they did Monday, according to updated numbers on The COVID Tracking Project’s website.
The website reported that the state’s hospitals admitted 56 more confirmed COVID-19 patients Tuesday, whereas they admitted 24 such patients on Monday.
In all, on Tuesday Tennessee hospitals had 408 confirmed COVID-19 patients. Those hospitals had 352 such patients on Monday, according to The COVID Tracking Project.
According to The COVID Tracking Project, COVID-19 had killed 72 Tennesseans as of Tuesday night.
As of Tuesday night, Tennessee had 4,138 confirmed COVID-19 cases, according to The Tennessee Department of Health’s website.
Davidson County continued to have the highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state as of Tuesday, a sum of 888 people.

• Hawkins County: 16 cases
• Loudon County: 15 cases
• Franklin County: 14 cases
• Trousdale County: 14 cases
• Cheatham County: 13 cases

The COVID Tracking Project obtains, organizes, and publishes high-quality data required to understand and respond to the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States, its website, said.
On their website, members of The COVID Tracking Project said they will continue to work until official national sources take over and publish comprehensive testing and outcomes data. They said all of their information comes from public health authorities—or, occasionally, from news reports, official press conferences, or, occasionally, tweets or Facebook updates from state public health authorities or governors.

Your county list of cases adds up to 2484, not 4000. Not buying numbers in this article.
