Tennessee U.S. Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN-05) endorsed former President Donald J. Trump in the 2024 presidential election on Friday evening.

“America has been in a downward spiral since Biden took office just over two years ago,” Ogles said in a statement. “He has embarrassed the U.S. time and time again on the international stage, created economic hardship for millions, and pushed woke agendas ahead of education and national security. Joe Biden has demonstrated his complete disregard for the well-being of Americans.”
Ogles added, “We need to restore strong leadership in the White House. Under President Trump, the U.S. experienced economic prosperity, robust foreign relations, and a return to patriotism. Our country is at a breaking point, and I am confident that President Trump is the leader we need to get America back on track. That is why I’m proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for President.”
Trump endorsed Ogles’ campaign last year for Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District, calling him at the time a “tireless fighter for our America First agenda.”
Ogles joins a growing list of Republican lawmakers supporting the former president. So far, Trump has been endorsed by 53 Republican House members, 11 Republican Senators, and two governors, according to Business Insider.
Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Bill Hagerty (R-TN) have endorsed the former president. Also, U.S. Representatives Diana Harshbarger (R-TN-01), Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN-03), John Rose (R-TN-06), and Mark Green (R-TN-07) are among the growing group endorsing Trump.
In April, Trump announced the creation of his 2024 Tennessee Federal Leadership Team, as previously reported by The Tennessee Star. His team consists of the Tennessee Congressional delegation members that have endorsed him, excluding Ogles. Also included in the former president’s leadership team is former U.S. Representative Jimmy Duncan.

IF he is the nominee, he better run a better campaign, or he will lose again. Last time it was the Democrats registering millions of voters and Trump supporters driving around in pickup trucks waving Trum flags. We saw how that turned out.
