In episode 28 of his newest production, “Tucker on X,” Tucker Carlson sat down with Chris Moritz, a “longtime investment banker and policy guy,” as the former cable news host described him.
Ep. 28 Trans, Inc: genital mutilation is not just a fad. It’s a full-blown industry. How did something this demented happen so quickly? Chris Moritz has been following the money. pic.twitter.com/N2em2hbTE8

During the 48-minute interview, Moritz dissected the business aspect behind the transgender industry.
Describing what he calls ‘Transgender, Inc.,’ Moritz revealed the industry is expected to grow to a combined value of $7.5 billion – an 8.5 percent compound annual growth rate from 2022’s combined value of $4.18 billion.
“There’s 1.6 million transgender adults, or I should say over the age of 13, transgender individuals in the United States as of 2022. Now, that number has doubled in 10 years. In 2011 there were 700,000 transgender Americans over the age 13 and by 2022 that had risen to 1.6 million,” Moritz said.
“So you just ended the debate over whether this is something a person is born with,” Carlson noted, to which Moritz replied, “I think there’s absolutely zero scientific evidence that would suggest there is a gene, a chemical alteration, any kind of somatic, physical, biological element to transgenderism that would result in what has become known as gender dysphoria.”
Later in the interview, Moritz described a vaginoplasty, where “a male to female patient is castrated, testicles are removed, the penis is inverted to create a vaginal cavity, and then skin grafting is used to create other elements of female genitalia — vulva, labia, etc,” as “one of the most graphic and invasive procedures.”
Carlson commented, “They can’t even do lip filler in a convincing way in this country, you can’t tell me they can recreate something as complex as female genitalia.”
Moritz responded, “Of course they can’t,” before citing a study where 25 percent of 816 patients that underwent a vaginoplasty had severe side effects and had to be hospitalized.
When Carlson asked who is profiting from the industry, Mortiz said, “Well, Cedars-Sinai Hospital Health System in Los Angeles is the market leader in the U.S. sex reassignment surgery market…The revenue from the surgeries brought on by that clinic in 2022 amounted to over $200 million.”
As of press time, the latest installment of Carlson’s video podcast, posted at 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on Wednesday, had over 28 million views. The 28 episodes posted by @TuckerCarlson have been seen over 2 billion times on Twitter / X.
