U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann ‘All In’ for Trump, Promises to Do ‘Everything Possible’ for 2024 Re-Election

U.S. Representative Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN-03) reportedly told the Hamilton County Pachyderm Club in Chattanooga on Monday that he is “all in” for former President Donald Trump in 2024, and pledged to support his 2024 campaign for re-election.

Fleischmann told Republicans on Monday that he is “all in for Donald Trump,” according to The Chattanoogan, which reported that the congressman told attendees he recently visited Mar-a-Lago and told the former president he will do “everything possible” to aid his re-election.

“I believe Donald Trump will be the nominee,” Fleischmann reportedly said. He added that Trump “is in great spirits.”

“I know everyone in the room might not be where I am, but I’m going to tell you, I’m all in for Donald Trump,” Fleischmann told the Republicans, reported the Chattanooga Times Free Press.   Fleischmann reiterated, “He’s going to be our nominee.”

Fleischmann also predicted President Joe Biden will be the Democratic nominee, describing him as “clueless” and “controlled,” according to The Chattanoogan. The outlet reported he added that Vice President Kamala Harris remaining on the ticket will be “the best thing” for Republicans.

The outlet also reported that Fleischmann expects Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) to win re-election “in a landslide,” and predicted that Tennessee’s Republican House delegation will win their races. Nationally, Fleischmann was bullish about the Republicans’ odds of wrestling control of the Senate but more cautious about the House, reportedly telling attendees “there’s a pathway” for Republicans to hold it.

Fleischmann’s electoral predictions for Tennessee mirror the findings of a poll released on November 1, which found Trump leads Biden by 23 points in the state. Pollsters also found Blackburn is ahead by 20 points over Tennessee State Representative Gloria Johnson (D-Knoxville), polling at 56 percent of support compared to her likely Democratic opponent’s 36 percent.

A similar poll released at the end of October identically found Blackburn ahead by 20 percentage points but showed Trump leading Biden by an even greater 31 percentage points.

Trump endorsed Fleischmann in 2021, calling him “a terrific advocate for the wonderful people of Tennessee,” and included him as part of his Tennessee Federal Leadership Team in April. He won reelection in 2022 with 68 percent of the vote.

Fleischmann made headlines in October when he briefly entered the hotly contested race to become the Republican Party’s nominee for Speaker of the House. However, he ultimately ended his bid for speaker and pledged his support for House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA-04).
