Dr. Deborah Birx, a top White House Coronavirus Task Force advisor, advised all mayors in Tennessee to mandate use of masks to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Birx said that right now, 70 percent of Tennessee counties have mask mandates in place, but she said requirements are needed in every county.
“We can change the future of this virus in this state today … if every mayor throughout this great state would mandate masks, close the bars, and substantially increase indoor dining distancing,” Birx said.
Tennessee is designated a red state by the White House Coronavirus Task Force, meaning the state surpassed a 10 percent test positivity rate. Tennessee is one of 18 states without a statewide mask mandate.
“I came to talk to the Governor about how important it is for every rural Tennessean to wear a mask,” Birx said. “[The virus] is in all of your rural counties.”
While stopping short of recommending the governor issue a statewide mask requirement, Birx pointed out that mask mandates are at the top of the list of recommendations issued by the White House Coronavirus Task Force to governors of red states.
“Every week, we issue a governor’s report,” Birx said, explaining that the latest reports were distributed Monday. “The number one bullet is mandate masks, close your bars, enhance social distancing.”
While Gov. Bill Lee and Birx discussed a statewide mask mandate in the roundtable, Lee reiterated that he will not issue a statewide mask mandate.
“I’ve been to counties that have a mandate where people are not wearing masks,” Lee said, emphasizing that he believes mask mandates are not as effective as buy-in from the public. “People wear masks because they believe that there is a reason to do so.”
According to task force models, Birx said, masks, social distancing, bar closures, and indoor dining limits are as effective at stopping the spread of the virus as sheltering in place.
Birx recommended shutting down bars and further limiting indoor dining to enable social distancing. Lee said he does not plan to implement these recommendations on a state level.
“We don’t have that plan right now beyond the regions that currently have restrictions, that is not a plan for us now,” Lee said on closing bars
“I appreciate their recommendations and we take them seriously.”
Birx visited Nashville to meet with Lee and other state and local officials. The four hour roundtable was held at the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency Monday morning.
“It is at this very moment, where we can change the trajectory of the epidemic before it goes into full, logarithmic spread, as we’ve seen across the South,” Birx said.

The Mayo Clinic says wearing masks helps. Having actually had a family member treated there, I’ll go with what they say.
Funny, the same things masks are claimed to do to “slow” the spread of a corona virus – only good if the person wearing it is coughing or sneezing AND infected – have never been used to slow the spread of influenza or any other respiratory virus that spreads by coughing and sneezing. And those viruses kill more people than the fabricated “probable” cases and causes of death attributed to Covid-19.
The PCR tests are garbage. They were not meant as a diagnostic tool for confirming presence of a virus in humans. They are incapable of isolating which virus is present and they are also incapable of quantifying the amount present. All the false positives have cause the medical community to have to about-face on their “recommendations” and calling asymptomatic people “infected” (who ever heard of such a thing?). But even those facts, plus the cash-for-covid bribes to generate false positives hasn’t been enough. We have moved on to declaring “probable cases” with no testing of any kind to generate the totally fraudulent “second wave” and “red zones”. These people are charlatans. Hospitals still going bankrupt in Tennessee during a “pandemic”.
How about we just shut the CDC down altogether????
They have nothing more than an “AD AGENCY” promoting the drugs big Pharma is producting.

There is NO science in support of mask wearing relative to the Chinavirus. There IS science that proves that useless mask wearing is detrimental to one’s health, specifically it drastically lowers oxygen levels in the blood, in fact to below EPA recommended levels. It’s time to stop the Chinavirus fear hoax mongering and get back to pre-Chinavirus life….
This is the United States of America. We don’t quarantine the well. We don’t demand that our citizens be forced to wear a mask if they don’t want to, especially since the “experts” like Birx have been cross-examined by other reputable doctors and scientists. Our Governor needs to have enough discernment to not be lured into this mandate that truly tramples on the rights provided by our Constitution.
Birx is part of the deep state. Masks don’t work and she knows it. Scientists have proven masks don’t work over and over. In fact, it is dangerous for healthy people to wear a mask, especially in this heat.

Deborah Birx has no active medical license – even in her home state. She is practicing medicine in Tennessee without a license and without paying the Professional Privilege Tax required of medical doctors.

We needed classes in immunology 101 when the pandemic occurred in order not to be deceived by these people in high places, who have withheld facts. Let’s get educated now. Dr. Kelly Victory is a public health doctor with years of experience and knew that our economy should NOT have been shut down and that masks are unnecessary.
