White House Silent After Commerce Secretary Declares Trump Should be ‘Extinguished for Good’

Gina Raimondo

The Biden-Harris White House has yet to issue a response after Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo said former President Donald Trump should be “extinguished for good” during a Wednesday appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program known to be a favorite of President Joe Biden.

Raimondo told “Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski that Trump should be “extinguished” after he promised to protect women if elected in November in remarks made after the network clarified the commerce secretary appeared in her personal capacity.

“It’s just another lie. How did we get here? Let’s extinguish him for good,” said Raimondo.

She continued, “We have an answer, we have a remarkably talented candidate who is sincere, who is pragmatic, who is open, let’s just get it done.”

Brzezinski asked Raimondo to clarify her statement, asking whether the commerce secretary meant to “vote [Trump] out” of office, despite the former president leaving the White House in 2021.

“Yes, absolutely,” said Raimondo, suggesting her call to “extinguish” the former president was a call to remove him from office.

The Biden-Harris official told Brzezinski, “Vote him out, banish him from American politics. Yes, just vote him out, so he goes away, because he’s, it’s just not where America- her new way forward, her vision, let’s turn the page on his chaos and craziness, vindictiveness, wrongheaded economic strategy, hatred toward women, and move forward.”

Republicans, including the Trump campaign, quickly highlighted the exchange as an example of Democratic rhetoric that inflames physical threats to the former president, especially in the wake of the second attempt to assassinate him.

“Trump just had a Kamala supporter try to kill him 10 days ago and Kamala’s Commerce Secretary [Raimondo] is already calling for Trump to be ‘extinguished for good,'” wrote Tennessee-based conservative pundit Robby Starbuck in a post to the social media platform X.

“This comes days after Kamala’s DOJ released a letter with a $150k bounty to kill Trump,” he added, referencing the court filing that contained a “legacy token” left by alleged would-be Trump assassin Ryan Wesley Routh, despite an FBI memo outlining a policy which prohibits the release of such materials.

Raimondo’s call to “extinguish” Trump appears to be at odds with her message during an earlier portion of the interview, when she suggested Harris is the candidate of serenity.

“You’re choosing between a leader who will bring practical solutions,” said Raimondo, “versus a guy who will bring chaos, unpredictability, and vindictiveness, which will almost certainly, in my judgment, explode the deficit, increase costs, and lead us to a recession.”

The U.S. Department of Commerce did not reply to a press inquiry from The Star that sought to establish whether Raimondo regrets her statements or whether the department considers the language appropriate.

Likewise, the White House did not reply to a press inquiry that sought to establish whether the Biden-Harris administration officially views Trump as ” extinguished” or whether Raimondo will be fired for the remarks.

This woman has no sense of propriety. She also has no business being the Secretary of Commerce. But the same could be said for virtually all of Biden’s cabinet members. Myorkas, Mayor Pete, Yellen, Blinken, et al.

tell me this batman. what problem has vp side chick ever solved? she is the laswt person to leave the room with fjb and there is no sunlight between her and the president. four more years of garbage if kamala wins

Could these people be any more disgusting. The current administration, including the federal law enforcement agencies, are no longer human. These actions and words from the left indicate how important it is for President Trump to be reelected. Otherwise life in America is going to hell.

Anything goes on the looney left. Prepare to be hounded and hunted if these people remain n power. They have been doing it for years. A win at the ballot box will simply embolden them as they redouble their efforts to fundamentally change America into a third world s,,,hole.
