Rep. Mike Gallagher, R-Wis., announced Friday that he would be resigning from Congress early, leaving the House GOP with a slim one-vote majority.
He confirmed in a statement on X that he will resign effective April 19.
“After conversations with my family, I have made the decision to resign my position as a member of the House of Representatives for Wisconsin’s Eighth Congressional District effective April 19, 2024,” Gallagher wrote.
Other House members that have announced their resignations recently include Reps. Ken Buck, R-Colo., and former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.
“I’ve worked closely with House Republican leadership in this timeline and look forward to seeing Speaker Johnson appoint a new chair to carry out the important mission of the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party,” Gallagher’s statement reads.

There is a potential situation in the coming election that would require the house of representatives to decide the winner of the presidential election in what is called a contingent election. Funny how the RINO representatives keep resigning, thereby reducing the number of potential votes.
This is yet another tell that the deep state will stop at nothing to keep President Trump from being reelected.

Rep. Mike Gallagher is said by many to be a RINO ‘Republican’ (i.e., a Democrat who lied when he first ran for office and falsely said that he was a Republican because he knew that he could never be elected if he declared what he really was, and he continues to vote like the Democrat that he really is whenever he can).
Wisconsin law declares that Gallagher’s seat — in a solidly red district — will stay empty for the rest of his term. Gallagher’s departure before April 9 would have triggered a special election. In a statement issued shortly after the announcement of his decision to leave, Gallagher said he planned to leave effective April 19.
Seems to me that Gallagher, supposedly a Republican, is purposefully, intentionally doing everything that he can to destroy Republican control of the U. S. House of Representatives. Loss of Republican control of the U. S. House would mean, among other things, that the Republican committee investigation of the Biden ‘shakedown’ crimes would stop, the Republican effort to investigate J6 would stop, the Republican effort to impeach Mayorkas would stop, Republican support of Israel would stop, the Republican effort to ‘rein in’ spending for Ukraine would stop, etc. etc. etc.
Now, you tell me if this guy, Gallagher, is really a Republican or a Democrat?
