President-elect Donald Trump said he would work to end veteran homelessness on the first day of his administration by signing an executive order to redirect funds previously spent by the Biden-Harris administration on illegal aliens to be instead used to shelter and treat homeless U.S. veterans.
Throughout the Biden-Harris administration, sanctuary cities such as Chicago and New York have made headlines for housing illegal aliens in luxury hotel rooms at the cost of taxpayers.
In July, a report by the House Judiciary Committee also explained how the Biden-Harris Administration assisted such efforts by “funneled” tens of millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to services supporting illegal aliens, including housing, behavioral health services, medical assistance, and legal services, “oftentimes through left-wing nonprofit organizations.”
On the first day of his administration, Trump vowed to sign an executive order that would redirect the funds currently being used to house illegal aliens to provide shelter and treatment to homeless U.S. veterans.
“Joe Biden puts illegal aliens before homeless Veterans and we cannot let this happen any longer. The American Veteran is one of our greats. These are great, great people. We have to take care of them,” Trump said in a campaign video released in November 2023.
“When I am reelected, this national scandal will end. On Day One, I will sign an Executive Order to cut off Joe Biden’s massive spigot of funding for shelter and transport of illegal aliens and redirect a portion of those savings, a very large portion I might add, to provide shelter and treatment for homeless American Veterans,” Trump added.
In addition to the executive order planned for his first day in office, Trump took his focus on ending veteran homelessness a step further, saying, “I will make it a personal mission to totally eradicate Veterans’ homelessness in America by the end of next term.”
“If you have served this nation in uniform, the Trump administration will never betray you as Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats have done,” Trump said.
There are a recorded 32,882 U.S. veterans in the nation who are experiencing homelessness as of January, according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The American people support our President Trump in his actions switching all illegal alien funding to go to our homeless Veterans! They deserve it. Hopefully ending the Federal Department of Education will be applauded as well.
