Blackburn Introduces Resolution to Condemn for ‘Border Czar’ Failure

Kamala Harris

Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) introduced a resolution to formally condemn Vice President and Democratic Party presidential nominee Kamala Harris for her failures as President Joe Biden’s appointed “border czar.”

“Since her very first day in office, Vice President Harris – President Biden’s designated Border Czar – has refused to take the national security and safety crisis at our southern border seriously,” Blackburn said in a press release announcing the resolution. “The Biden-Harris administration has presided over more than 10 million illegal border crossings and has released nearly 100 individuals on the terrorist watchlist into our country. Vice President Harris can run, but she cannot hide from her disastrous record that has killed countless innocent Americans.”

Several important figures in battling for closed borders endorsed Blackburn’s resolution, including Tom Homan, the former head of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“Under Harris’s open border and failure as a Border Czar historic number of Americans have died from the fentanyl that the criminal cartels push through the open border along with an historic number of people arrested that were on the terror watch list,” Homan says. “Add to that more than two million got aways, she has created the biggest national security vulnerability this nation has ever seen, and FBI Director agrees on that vulnerability. Two groups that want Harris as the next President include the criminal cartels of Mexico and numerous terrorist organizations that want to continue to exploit our open borders. That is a fact.”

Listing all of Harris’ failures in that role, including that in the first 1o months of Fiscal Year 2024, 31,077 Chinese nationals have crossed the border, that the border crisis costs the taxpayer “$150,700,000,000 each year, which equals an annual cost of $1,156 per taxpayer,” that 350 illegal aliens tied to ISIS have entered the country under the Biden administration. Moreover, Blackburn set forth the resolution.

The resolution:

(1) strongly condemns the Biden administration and ‘‘border czar’’ Kamala Harris for failing to se cure the United States border;

(2) affirms that the people of the United States deserve elected officials who—

(A) understand the gravity of the crisis at the border; and

(B) will execute policies that will fix the border crisis; and

(3) clearly and firmly states that the continuation of the Biden-Harris border policies would be disastrous for the United States and its citizens.

Just after it was announced that Biden would not run for reelection, which paved the way for Harris to become the Democratic Party’s nominee even though she was not on most of the Democratic Primary ballots, the left-wing media rushed to Harris’ aid to cover up her performance as Border Czar, as reported by The Tennessee Star.

Far-left Axios published a story trying to obfuscate Harris’ exact role, claiming she was not the “Border Czar.”

That was quickly cleared by the “Community Notes” feature on X, which pointed out that Axios itself had referred to Harris as “Border Czar” in a 2021 news story, leading to Axios fact-checking itself in an update to the 2021 story.
