EJ Haust, a digital marketing expert and former journalist who lived in Minnesota for 12 years before relocating to Tennessee, said first son Hunter Biden would not need to be pardoned if his father, President Joe Biden, was “decent” and didn’t bring his children up in a “international crime family.”
On Sunday, Biden announced that he had issued a “full” and “unconditional” pardon his son, Hunter, for “offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024.”
Biden, who previously said he would not pardon his son, argued that Hunter was “treated differently” by the justice system for the tax and gun crimes he had been charged with; however, did not offer an explanation for why the pardon stretches back to 2014.
“Think about everything that we have been through since 2014. Obama was president with Vice President Joe Biden at the time. We went through Burisma and that corruption…Everyone knows [this pardon] is not just about petty gun crimes and his drug use or his hookers…This is larger, and the reason you know it’s larger is because of the timing,” Haust said on Tuesday’s edition of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show.
Haust went on to add that Biden’s pardon of his son was more about “protecting the crime family.”
“It’s probably more about Jill and Joe Biden protecting Jill and Joe Biden going forward. It’s probably more about protecting the crime family,” Haust said.
To Biden’s remark that his pardon was from a standpoint as a father, Haust said as a mother herself, she wouldn’t have put her child in a position to have to be pardoned for taking part in the activity of a crime family
“As a mother, I wouldn’t put my son in a crime family. Think about that for a second…As a father, if he was truly a decent human, if he was a decent father, Hunter wouldn’t be in this position to begin with because he wouldn’t have installed him at Burisma. He would not have given him all of the access to all of these corrupt institutions and people across the world,” Haust said.
“International crime family is what he brought his son up in,” Haust added.
