Garrett Ziegler Discusses His Group’s Publication of the Hunter Biden Laptop

Garrett Ziegler, former Trump administration staffer and founder of the nonprofit Marco Polo, sat down for an exclusive interview last week with The Tennessee Star’s CEO and Editor-in-Chief Michael Patrick Leahy to discuss his group’s publication titled “Report on the Biden Laptop.”

In October 2022, Marco Polo published the comprehensive 630-page report on the contents of Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop. The report documents hundreds of alleged violations of state and federal laws and regulations, which include business, drugs, and sex-related crimes.

On Friday’s edition of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show, Zeigler said it took him and his team approximately 18 months to analyze the complete contents of Biden’s laptop for the report, which he further noted, due to its nature, is for “adult readership.”

“Given the explicit nature of the content on the Biden laptop, this report is for an adult readership. It’s X-rated. So no genitalia, but it is what we call risque,” Zeigler said.

In September 2023, Hunter Biden filed a civil lawsuit against Ziegler over the report, alleging “hacking” under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.

Ziegler disputed Biden’s arguments, explaining how he obtained the laptop material legally through the lawyer and former U.S. Associate Attorney General Rudy Giuliani, who himself had received the materials from owner John Paul Mac Isaac of the computer repair shop of which Biden disposed of the laptop.

“We obtained it legally. Even if some court were to adjudicate that [John Paul Mac Isaac] stole it, which he didn’t, it’s not our culpability because we just got it through beauty,” Ziegler said.

In addition, Zeigler said the case against him for publishing the report was filed in federal court in Los Angeles and heard by a judge who had donated to Hunter Biden’s father, Joe Biden, which prompted Ziegler to file a recusal motion.

“The lawsuit was a federal lawsuit in the central District of California and it was heard by a judge appointed by the plaintiff’s father…We filed a 15-page recusal motion because the judge gave the plaintiff’s father $2,000 for his political campaigns,” Zeigler said.

Zeigler explained that the report on Hunter Biden’s laptop was not meant to attack the family for the younger Biden’s troubled lifestyle, but instead was to expose corruption as a matter of public concern.

“I think it’s a duality thing where Hunter resents his father, but at the same time he knows where his bread is buttered. So he has this tension, he’s trapped. It’s a terrible place to be in, I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy, but at the same time, that terrible position is no excuse for his criminality. If he were just a degenerate and did not do international business deals, we wouldn’t touch him because the degeneracy story is as old as time…Lyndon B. Johnson’s sister Josefa was a swinger, she was a degenerate like Hunter, but she wasn’t in international business deals. Obviously LBJ and his wife were corrupt, but my point is that Hunter is unique in American history,” Zeigler explained.
